California Now Has the Lowest Positivity Rate in the Nation

California rainbow canstock photo and KymPress release from Senator Mike McGuire:

Coronavirus update – positive trends:
CA has administered more doses than all but 5 countries in the world. And, we are preparing for 4 million vaccine doses per week (shipped from the Fed Gov’t) starting in mid May or June, which will greatly expand the state’s ability to put more doses into arms.
We now have the lowest positivity rate in the nation.
If trends continue, the Golden State will remove the colored tier system on June 15th and start going back to business as usual.
By the end of this month, CA anticipates 30 million doses will have been put into arms, which will help us permanently turn a corner on this pandemic.
Mask wearing will still be a must as we move forward here in 2021.
Please remain vigilant, we’ve still got work in front of us.

Whats the meaning of the rainbow?

All you can do is refuse to mask. Masking orders are ridiculous and probably unconstitutional… Masking does not protect you or anyone else, unless you have a continuous and ubiquitous supply of N-95 Masks which are properly fitted and worn…

Real N-95 masks are expensive, and have never been adequately supplied by the governments which ordered them to be used. The mask your wife made on her sewing machine, is real cute, but a handful of kleenex would be better protection…

This outbreak will not end easily, but getting vaccinated may well be the best tool we have. It is important not to spread your irrational fears about the vaccines. You can choose for yourself, and then get vaccinated if you are amenable.

Vaccines will be openly and generally available in walk-in clinics, and very soon. In some places, you will find the clinics are happening now .

Be safe, be well… Protect your own health, don’t wait for the government to do it!

Not to mention expert immunologists/geneticists…

What the heck is Qanon?

Careful reading reveals true meanings… Learn to read today!

Masks work about as well as pacifiers… Keeps you quiet for a minute!

The government is lying to you to keep you under control.

OH and “hand sanitizer” does not work on Virus Particles, or Bacteria either… It’s all a ruse.

If you teach a man to fish, etc, if you teach him to “hand-sanitize”, it’s about the same as teaching him masturbation…

Wash your hands, keep them out of your eyes and mouth! Take your vaccine “if you are amenable”…

QAnon, or simply Q, is a disproven and discredited American far-right conspiracy theory alleging that a secret cabal of Satan-worshipping, cannibalistic pedophiles was running a global child sex-trafficking ring and plotted against former U.S. president Donald Trump while he was in office.

Seems like something not worth even considering, to me…

Why would anyone be interested?

In the lab, we would use Quaternary Ammonium / Isopropyl Alcohol, and you must keep the surface wet for 2 minutes. Wear gloves for this!

Some viruses, like Hepatitis B, can survive very high dilution, bleach, alcohol and short exposures even to the above combination of chemicals…

Isopropanol kind of “stuns” bacteria, doesn’t kill them, and only stuns temporarily, but washing your hands with soap causes virus particles to be degraded and broken up. You still need that contact with the soap, for 2 minutes… Soap kills bacteria by ruining the cell wall, causing the contents to empty out.

Constant contact with alcohol-based sanitizers will cause degradation of the skin, and cracks. Microorganisms can enter your body through skin breaks, and older people have pretty thin skin to begin with…

Think before you comment and do a little research! Thanks!

Dave, you drone on and on about the same thing, over and over!
You too can choose a cool name, if you think of one…
Thanks for the Garberville attitude!

Remember, some things you can’t control! Commenteers posting on a news blog, are one of those things…

Trying to control everything is a sign of a mental health disorder, or possibly addiction…

Chill out Dave, things are going to get better…

Masks were not considered to be necessary, for thousands of years!
Good masks, like we would wear in a hospital, during a ,say, flu epidemic, are only used occasionally. In 40 years of working in healthcare, I never once was asked to “mask”, except one or two times when I had to go into an operating room where open heart surgery was occuring.

Masking the general public is idiotic, especially when they are not working in close conditions. Those cloth masks, bandannas and neck-gaiters, don’t do anything but make everyone look sinister. They don’t protect you more than about 15-20% on inhalation, and on exhalation, they leak like crazy!

If it makes you feel better, do it. Enjoy!

Namaste, Dave!

Dave,

Schizoid: Definition:

Denoting or having a personality type characterized by emotional aloofness and solitary habits…

Emotional aloofness:

Definition:

Distant or
uninvolved.

It is a common misconception that schizophrenia involves multiple or split personalities.

Yet, you are also confusing an incorrect use of the term ‘schizophrenia’ with the term ‘schizoid.’

It’s actually Dissociative Identity Disorder that is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct personality identities.
Each may have a unique name, personal history,
and characteristics.

Is that what you mean?

Schizophrenia, (not to be confused with schizoid), (see above), is characterized by thoughts or experiences that seem out of touch with reality, disorganized speech or behavior, and decreased participation in daily activities.

Difficulty with concentration and memory may also be present.

That’s different.

I noticed in your previous comment that you referred to yourself as both “I”, and as,”we”.

That would not be schizoid…

Although, if one considers the Batman comment,
along with the whole, “I”, “we” thing that might be a good example of a combo of both Dissociative Identity Disorder,
and Schizophrenia.

But relax, at least you aren’t schizoid.

Your,

“Though your comments have gotten schizoid lately. Did you forget which one you are?”
comment
suggests you don’t even know of what you speak.

It’s not that uncommon.

Almost two out of three in one poll share your misconception.

At least you can say your among the majority.

If you’re going to cast aspersions, at least do your homework, and get your terminology straight.

So much wrongness.

Any mask – cloth, surgical, etc. – catch some or most of the little droplets of spittle that exit your piehole when you breath or talk. If you have the virus in your airway, those droplets are infectious. This can be true even when you are pre-symptomatic, or never develop symptoms. Masks contain these tiny droplets and keep them out of the air.

Covid virus doesn’t float around on its own, the virus particles stay stuck to the little dried out remains of those mucous droplets that you breathed out. Lucky for us because the virus particles are quite small (50-200 nanometers) but the “droplet nuclei” are 25-100 larger (5 microns or less) which can be filtered out by an N95 respirators which is, as the name suggests, 95% effective at 2.5 microns and pretty good below that. Facemasks still filter the majority, and cloth masks about half. Anything is better than nothing.

Masks and respirators don’t catch everything that you exhale, nor everything in the air you inhale, but even still they can keep you from getting sick by reducing the overall viral load. Whether you get sick or not and how bad depends in part on how many virus particles you breath in and how far down they lodge in the mucous membranes of your airway.

Folks, masks and respirators serve two purposes and are proven to be effective at both. One is keeping your snot from infecting other people. The other is filtering out whatever is unavoidably floating in the air, including the dried up snot from people who are exercising their “patriotic freedoms”.

Of course not, once COVID is under control we go back to swapping back and forth all the usual bullshit diseases that don’t kills us.

Now – – if we don’t get our act together before the next pandemic we could be back in the same place for an extended period of time some day. For example, what if a future SARS-COV-4 has a case fatality rate of 15% instead of 1% or 2% then the shit hits the fan. At least we won’t be arguing with the anti-biology “patriots” because they will all die off pretty quickly. Granted this is speculation on my part, but I think nature will throw us some real curve balls in the future. Monoculture kind of pisses off the natural order of things.

You may look at human nature and the Consolidation of wealth and power , looking to control the next billion dollar industry.

What we are seeing is simply a means of those with more money than time, exerting their influence over others. You may not recognize the bigger picture here, because of your own belief that this is a problem looking for a solution….yet for the evil rich this is a SOLUTION LOOKIN FOR A PROBLEM.

Ah, yes.

Just in time for the double mutant strain.

And just like I said, masks ain’t goin away.

But the funniest thing is the latest health message from the CDC in the ongoing saga of…

What could they possibly say next…

” Don’t bother wiping”, “Skip it”.

Are they debunking themselves?

You decide.

Saying;

“Don’t mask”, then “mask”, is one thing.

But;

“Wipe”, then “Don’t wipe”, is really making me wonder about the CDC.

It’s straight comedy, now.

Somehow, it doesn’t surprise me.

Very interesting, W.H.,

That link is well worth reading.

So, a moratorium on gain of function research was enacted in 2014 under the Obama administration?

Then the moratorium was lifted in 2017 under the Trump administration and gain of function on influenza began after that in early 2019?

And Fauci has been pushing for gain of function research for years, supposedly in order to develop therapeutics?

Like Remdesivir?

And the whole gain of function research moratorium was put in place to avoid the potential for a pandemic?

That explains a lot.

Also, I’d like to say thanks to the smart people of this state, and a big middle finger to the skeptics and deniers of the very much common sense approach taken by Newsom and his government. It’s never a popular position to do the right thing in a shitty situation, and I know many people suffered. But he handled it like a boss and I think he did a good job. French laundry thing was bad optics, but no politician can be scandal free in these times. Pretty minor compared to many.

We would carry the pride flag in the pride parade in June commemorating the Stonewall Riots. Gilbert Baker, Betsy Ross of the flag as we would say, didn’t use lime green when he made the flag.
I look at the rainbow as a universal symbol of happiness like the rainbow after a storm and is quite fitting for what the world has been through.

But my comment actually was meant to indicate that I didn’t think that the color scheme had anything to do with sexuality, and therefore, I proposed that the questions associating the color scheme to sexuality were misplaced.

Thinking I was clever, I tried to indicate that with a phrase that actually is associated with sexuality.

I never accused you of trying to pull the wool over anyone’s eyes, I never said one damn word about you having a agenda on connecting the flag to shit. My only point is that that is the flag, just vertical not horizontal. If it was a Nike swoosh symbol next to a coronavirus update wouldn’t it merit a question? You keep making it seem like I have a problem with you having that symbol, all I asked is if it was supposed to be there, for all I give a fuck you can make that your official logo it’s irrelevant. LOL There will NEVER be a “normal” again. This is the globalist plot to destroy America: fake a pandemic, get everyone acting like sheeple, take away all liberties, get the sheeple used to that, string them along with false promises and fake “vaccines,” pretend to end the lockdowns, lather and repeat. The point is the end of sovereignty and free will, not “saving lives.” 80000 died in one flu season 2017-2018 and MILLIONS died in the late sixties flu and none of our rights as US citizens were taken away. Agenda 21 joins BLM/antifa insanity to bring on the New World Order: live in tenements, watch prepackaged cable infotainment, eat bugs, keep quiet. Anyone objects, the Marxists set cities on fire. Well, not everyone is stupid enough to go to sleep in the evil socialist Matrix.

I think many are desperately trying to ignore the Agenda 21/2030, Event 21, The 4th Industrial revolution, etc.

Yet it’s all there, for all to see. No conspiracy talk needed.

And that IS the plan by the UNELECTED leaders of the world.

Hope y’all don’t mind giving up your homes that you love.

“You will own NOTHING and you will be happy”. ~wef

I seem to recall that most of the triangle will be devoid of human habitation according to the Plan. It’s needed to “save the planet” or such.

Again, it’s all there, out in the open, go to their sites and see.

It’s hilarious isn’t it? You can tell immediately where they get their “news” from.
And lol, look who Q turns out to be. Just an 8chan shit disturber. Not a big brass military insider. You just can’t make this shit up.
Between Q, FOX, OAN, Newsmax, Alex Jones and many others the level of insane shit these people believe is off the charts. And they call everyone else stupid for not believing.

the ultimate irony is they have been indoctrinated. just like during the Bush years, the truth is the opposite of what they have been told. the GOP however has not thought this through, most roughnecks i know get mad when they find out they have been plaid. some are already getting mad.

What I don’t get that the more strains that come out the less effective the vaccine becomes! It’s going to be like the flu shot.
Every year a different strain out and has to be taken!
So doesn’t make sense at this point to take a experimental vaccine! Remember Covid is a virus and virus are smart they always change and mutates!
To those who gets the vaccine that’s ur choice!
To those who chose to not get it even better!
Me personally I wouldn’t be a lab rat for no one! U couldn’t pay me to take the vaccine! Ask me 5-10 years down the line maybe my choice will have changed or not!
Definitely not out long enough to kno long term effects!
I rather take my chances with Covid then the vaccine!

Pharma,
could be, what also doesn’t make sense is that the flu vaxxes are about 30% effective (19% to 60%, according to the CDC), so how can they make a covid vaxx that is 95% effective?

That’s an excellent question!
By the sounds of it the COVID vaccine is at about 60-80% effective at this point as more strains emerge the lower the effectiveness it has at all just like the flu vaccine.
Great statement!

Well well, how bout that? Just before Recall Newsom hits the ballot . I also saw,” Ca. opening everything June 15!!” 🤔.. except for schools you mean. Kids who are ” lucky enough” to go are sitting in empty rooms, still in front of a screen bc teachers truly dislike them. Our freedom, way of life being destroyed without a single shot fired. 😔

wow, you can’t even leave links to certified peer reviewed studies without your post being taken down now…. just remember even under CDC guidelines touching your mask just one time without sterilization or disposal renders the Mask ineffective. I’d leave a link to the CDC guidelines, but well you know…

Conspiracy theory is simply that. Theory. Why are folks so bloody afraid to consider the notion that the daily pablum (not pabulum, mind thee) we are spoon fed, nay, shoe horned down our ickle baaaaa holes, might MIGHT just be not in our best interests? Plenty of intelligent folks have been bamboozled afore (stretching back throughout time out of mind and ken) and the ostensibly named “Government” has an irrefutably vast, lurid history of skullduggery!! No, there is not a monster under every rock, at every turn, but, GOOD HEAVENS people: WHEN DID IT BE A DAMNING STANCE TO SIMPLY QUESTION THINGS?! One ought not be so very swift to trust. Notwithstanding some of the moronic statements regarding the common sense of masking and crowd avoidance posted here, California is not #1 lowest in the nation. The U.S. Virgin Islands, currently receiving 24 packed airliners a day flying in full of tourists, is, in fact, the lowest positivity rate under the U.S. flag. And the Government of the Virgin Islands is prosecuting those who upload fraudulent test results to get into the USVI. Good. One guy is looking at a 15 year max. He won’t get it, and it’s all a matter of first impression, but you don’t walk into your neighbor’s house coughing in their face.
