The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Marijuana Eradication Team is in Phillipsville this morning eradicating cannabis at what a reader says are several addresses on Phillipsville Loop Road.

“Most of the loop is occupied by law enforcement of some sort,” the reader told us.

Samantha Karges, spokesperson for the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department said, “MET is assisting Fish and Wildlife in Southern Humboldt today.”

You can see the gardens across the river from hwy 101. A couple have trash strewn about.

There are many similar cases elsewhere. I won’t bother to point any out specifically here and now, but they are common.

If you listen to Farce, you’d think they never busted anybody before permit farmers.

When I did my Federal time in the ’80s, we got twice the price for the product and there were no permit farmers

Part of the sheriff departments plan to divide the cannabis community is their propaganda that permitted farms are paying for enforcement. Willing participants in spreading this BS feign ignorance and memory loss when it comes to the 4 decades long war on cannabis.

Every year we gotta do this. Yes- the permits help pay for enforcement and abatements. I’m sorry if this makes you uncomfortable. We are not on the same team because you left and sold out your old team. I never did that. I found alternative ways to exist because I wasn’t greedy.

Oh, I can promise you I’m not on your finger pointing hypocritical team.

It’s not a sell out nor greedy to pay more taxes, etc and make less – it’s the opposite of greed. I literally haven’t made a dime in the last 4 years of effort — not even a penny of salary.

All time and investment with a solid decade+ plan of building a business that can support my daughter and grandkids when I go, but no guarantee of return for anyone, and certainly not me. That’s life if one chooses to play the long game and wants to build something lasting for family.

I know change is hard for you. I know you have to demonize everyone who works within the flawed system the voters chose, but make no mistake … your opinion of me doesn’t make me uncomfortable in the least.

I have zero issues with your renegade choices. Been there done that. Presented with a different and evolving legal structure, I’ve chosen to evolve with it. Not ashamed of my past, present nor future.

Yes, my taxes just like yours help pay for law enforcement — even the laws we don’t agree with or like. That’s how societies work.

Cops are still getting overtime and dangerous duty pay:) ! The hills and roads are as busy as ever with loads of imported people and soil. I don’t see a solution except for more enforcement and bloated government ,which is antithetical to legalization .

Thank you for saying so clearly something I’ve found hard to explain, this is definitely a long term dream that not everyone can envision. And that’s cool, too, as long as we all keep it clean. Operating at a loss the last 4 years as well. If we can remove the middle man market manipulator, maybe we can start to make a living!

I never said that. You put words in my mouth? Maybe because you pay permit fees and taxes that go directly into enforcement against your old neighbors? I’d feel very uncomfortable if I was in your position and I might do the same thing- mischaracterize to demean anybody who pointed it out

I didn’t say you said that.

And you pay taxes that go directly to enforcement, so get off your hypocritical high horse.

And mischaracterization? — you’re the King. You can hardly post without it (including the comment that started this exchange)

Yep. So true Farce.. Public Privatization enforcement. The Humboldt county Police have become nothing short of hired goons paid for by permitted farms. It sounds as if some might be rooting this enforcement on…

Lol they bust all these small farms, Bulgarians probably on run 2 already changing their oil in the generator as we speak. By changing I mean letting it drain into a creek.

you have to change the oil every 100 hours, which is why there are always environmental issues at remote grows.

Back when I was showing real estate I saw my share of disgusting scenes. Dirt roads that actually shined with spilled diesel or the clown who sited his diesel tank on planks across a seasonal creek. One famous grower left a pallet of chemical fertilizer to dissolve into an adjacent creek etc. There weren’t any eastern europeans involved.

Was there a realtor who pretended to not see those things so he could make a sale?

Do you mean Rabid??? Sheriff, to the point of kicking in doors that could as easily have just been opened, not to mention other assorted Guerilla Warfare Tactics on those NASTY Unpermitted Cannabis Growers instead of chasing down Hit & Run Drivers & or Heroin & Meth Dealers??????!!!!

It’s only March– All the busts now will give ppl plenty of time to replant. John Ford stated in the CLMP interview with BonnyBlackberry, this week & last week, that the satellite will go road by road, parcel by parcel, looking for code violations… Does this behavior bother anyone else? It’s BigBrother completely happening.

Oh, give me a break! The first 6 miles of my road would take them all summer. Lot’s of roads in this county. The chances of them making tracks on every code-violation property in this county in your lifetime s very very small.

Don’t kid yourself , they don’t need to physically send cops to your door to screw your over , how do you think they’re going to implement the safe homes act next year? They can fuck your whole world up by mail.

I don’t think you understand how the satellite image recognition technology works.

The areas surrounding your six miles of road were reviewed via pixel subtraction and other technologies while I typed this reply.

No, that’s not conspiracy talk, that’s from someone (me) with multiple patents and Emmy awards in the image recognition space.

No, but it wouldn’t exactly take Sherlock Holmes to figure out who most of them are. Many of them have been arrested (and cited and released) repeatedly.
