The Alzheimer’s Association held their 27th State Advocacy Day via Zoom on March 4th and 5th to ask legislators from all over the state to support Senate Bill 48.This bill would require general internists and family physicians to complete 4 hours of dementia specific continuing medical education training to ensure they are prepared and ready to diagnose for Alzheimer’s and to help individuals develop a care plan so they can have the best quality of life possible while living with this disease.This training would be included in the 50 hours already required by law. They could practice on Biden. But that wouldn’t be early diagnosis.
