[UPDATE 11:09 a.m.] Law Enforcement Responding to the Report of a Gunshot Victim Out Hwy 36
A large number of law enforcement and emergency personnel are rushing out Hwy 36 to where a victim of a shooting is reported to be in a vehicle near the intersection with McClellan Road. The call came in about 9:40 a.m.
Reportedly this in connection with one person having earlier held at least two people hostage with a gun.
The dispatcher is struggling to get a clear report from the person calling in the incident out to officers and emergency personnel rushing to get out to the scene but the details are not clear. During an emergency, details can be provided incorrectly by participants. This article is based on the first reports coming over the scanner. Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.
UPDATE 10:43 a.m.: Law enforcement is reporting over the scanner that they have a trailer surrounded and are attempting to callout a suspect.
UPDATE 10:48 a.m.: No one is in the trailer. And law enforcement is stating that it is secured.
UPDATE 11:07 a.m.: A reader gave us permission to use this video of what may be a related incident. He said that a friend of his sent him this video from a property she is staying at that is owned by a family member of his. According to the reader, the man shown in the video came to the house about 8:50 a.m. The reader had previously posted the video on Facebook’s Mad River Watch & News and said the man had stolen the ATV in video. The reader wrote, “The guy came looking like he hadnt slept in days…saying help…holding his waist and seemed like he had a gun… the girl that was there locked her self in the house.”
The reader said the woman was afraid and locked the door. “She started recording,” the reader told us. In the video, the man and his pit bull are shown with the ATV. According to the reader, the alleged thief stayed at the home about 10 to 15 minutes before driving off with the ATV.
UPDATE 11:09 a.m.: Law enforcement is cancelling medical and saying the incident is not as reported.

I’m thinking the shooting part was to get the sheriff to respond but can definitely see how the person in the house was scared , the guys actually lucky to be alive a lot of people would feel justified blowing his ass off the quad .
