The Arcata and Mad River Transit System (A&MRTS), which manages public transportation in the City of Arcata, will implement an adjustment to bus route schedules beginning Monday, March 8.

The Red Transit Route, which serves downtown Arcata, Greenview Market, the Arcata Community Center, Sunny Brae, Humboldt State University, and LK Wood Boulevard will run from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekdays.

The Gold Transit Route, which serves downtown Arcata, Sunny Brae, Greenview Market, Humboldt State University, Valley West Shopping Center, and Alliance Road will also run from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekdays.

At noon on weekdays, the Red and Gold Transit Routes will switch to the Orange Transit Route, which serves downtown Arcata, Humboldt State University, Valley West Shopping Center and Alliance Rd.

The Orange Transit route will operate from 12 to 7 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday, and there will be no adjustments to the Orange Route’s Saturday schedule.

It is important for individuals to take safety precautions to help slow the spread of COVID-19, especially when traveling in public spaces. Public transit users must follow all COVID-19 health and safety protocols in place, and Humboldt County bus patrons who require mobility devices are asked to contact City Cab at (707) 442-4555 to make alternative transportation arrangements two hours before their desired departure time.
