[UPDATE 11:14 p.m.] Debris Fire Escaped Off Hwy 36 East of Carlotta

vegetation fire icon featureFlames from a debris fire escaped and are spreading in the 6200 block of Hwy 36 east of Carlotta. As of 9:55 p.m., a firefighter reported over the scanner that he estimated the fire to be about a quarter acre.

UPDATE 10:11 p.m.: Timber and slash are burning, according to the Incident Commander’s report. He said that the fire is moving slowly and he still estimates it to be a quarter acre.
UPDATE 11:14 p.m.: The fire is contained at a quarter of an acre.
