Any better locater than the 37,000 Block? A cross road, or relative distance from say Pnether Gap or Honeydew etc?
It looks like it’s just passed A Way park/campground, on the other side of the bridge going towards Honeydew from Petrolia… somewhere in that area according to Google. Thank you for your service volunteer fire fighters…Prayers goin up🙏
If she had that info she would publish it!!!
Mattole Rd numbers are mileage from Ferndale. named cross rds are far apart. The “37000”s would be around 37 miles from Ferndale. 29000s around Petrolia, 44000ish, Calfire Mattole station, 50,000s, Mattole Rd between Honeydew and the Park.
37000 is close to camp matolle and a way park.
It’s not Mattole camp
If that photo is a picture of the fire it looks like the structure may be a total loss. I pray there are no folks or their pets inside if it is a home, and no firemen will be injuried.
This is just an icon.
Thanks Kim. I was not sure about the photo, so I said “if.” Hope you are having a nice day.
I heard it was at Bacchettis’ — the Fun Farm.
From the current descriptions , it sounds like the Fun Farm or immediate neighbors in the A. Way Park vicinity. So very terrible for anybody and hoping nobody was hurt. A landmark, magical place in a special area, if rumors are accurate. Thank you volunteer firefighters and any other crews. I am very sorry.
Believe it was a vacation home.
Well i guess technically it’s a rumor, but unless good friends and reliable people are lying, it’s true– it was Bacchettis’. Just southeast of the river near the Church Camp and the Concrete Arch bridge.
I want to take a moment to say “Thank you” to all of the fire fighters that save my parents property known as the “fun farm”. Although the main house was a total loss their were 4+ structures that were saved. My words cannot express the graditude I feel for each and everyone of you. Someday I hope to be able to thank you all in person. On behalf of my family and friends i would love to hear your stories about the fun farm and thank you for being apart of our treasured memories.
