[UPDATE Wednesday] Someone Stole a Saw From Us, Says Redcrest Fire Departmemt

Stihl sawIn the category of stellar life choices, stealing from a volunteer fire department is right up there with stealing from kids in our opinion. And, yet, yesterday, around 3:40 p.m., someone stole a chainsaw from Redcrest Volunteer Fire Department.

“High Rock Camp had just donated the saw to us only a couple weeks ago,” said Maija Olander speaking for Redcrest VFD. “The saw was on a bench inside because the volunteer that was on the other side of the building when this happened was using it and noticed it missing as soon as he returned.”

If you have any information, please contact the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department at (707) 445-7251.

UPDATE Wednesday: Good News! The saw was returned (with a little help from social media.)

Stealing from the Fire Department? WOW! Wouldn’t it be GREAT KARMA if the thief cut his own hand off with it?

Now, this person needs to do the work to lose their drug habit, then apologize, and start volunteering with the fire dept.
