Kimberly Anne Tolley: ‘A noticeable sense of style’

This section includes both obituaries and memories. Honoring our loved ones who have died does not end immediately after their passing. We recognize that… so we’re extending our obituary section to include individuals who may have left a long time ago. If you want to remember someone who is gone, either recently or longer ago, please send a photo and your memories to [email protected].

Kimberly Anne Tolley, age 54, died at her home in Natomas, Sacramento County on January 6, 2021.

Kim was born in La Canada, California on December 12, 1966. Upon graduation from high school in La Canada, she moved to Humboldt County and attended Humboldt State University where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She spent her career in workforce development, working for many years at the Employment Training Division of Humboldt County Social Services, working primarily with homeless youth.

Kim had a good sense of humor and a wit to match. She had a noticeable sense of style and always looked beautiful.  For hobbies she painted, cooked healthy food, and was interested in learning about new things, quickly becoming an expert.  She was available to friends for support whenever needed.  Kim was dedicated to her son Joseph.

She is survived by her son Joseph Winkler, her mother Mary Lou Rodearmel, her brother Mark Tolley and his wife Lauren, and their two children; her stepbrother David Rodearmel,  and stepsister Sue Rodearmel.

Kim was a loving daughter, sister, and dear friend. She will be greatly missed.

A celebration of her life will be held for her friends in Humboldt County at a later date.

Funeral arrangements were under the care of W.F. Gormley & Sons Funeral Chapel
