Looks hella serious. Scanner had 2 patients, moderate, and minor. Looking at the motor makes me think there s somebody no longer a patient.
But… whats up with the twins in matching outfits?

Okay, that’s one theory. Why not just assume driver of the Hyundai was attempting suicide?

Wow it looks like a bomb went off. Engine in the road and no car in sight. That had to be one hell of a serious accident. I sure hope all the people in the two vehicles will survive their injuries. I would have thought there would be a least one DOA at the accident. Why one vehicle crossed the freeway into the path of an oncoming vehicle is a mystery right now. Thank you to the people that stopped to help and the CHP for their work. Just gives you a sick feeling in your stomach. Please drive safe people.

“Why one vehicle crossed the freeway…” There are numerous possible scenarios. Number one, most likely – texting. Number two – driving impaired, yes, even at that hour. Number three – distracted or inattentive driver (see one and two, also driver was possibly dealing with something going on in/with the vehicle). Number four – driver suffered medical event. This is the least likely. Number five – shit happens.
Time will tell, hopefully everyone involved will live to tell us what happened. Sending prayers.

guest, thank you for telling me all the reasons a vehicle can cross the freeway. I am well aware of the many reasons. You will note that I said a MYSTERY right now. I don’t like to jump to conclusions before I know the facts, it serves no point.

One of the drivers is a diabetic.

Julie, if they don’t carefully control their diabetes, and the blood sugar gets too low you will pass out. That could have been one reason for the accident. A good comment!

The vortex is strong in that area.

We call it “The Crumple Zone”.

There is a fault line that crosses the freeway in that vicinity.

It causes upheaval.

It’s got a dangerous vibe.

Prayers up.

That motor picture does not look good.

Thanks to the first responders.

Haunted stretch of highway.

It follows a long, tight, bend in the river and I’m convinced the road engineers or the actual construction crew were drunk, or just randomly failed on a crucial equation through there. Or they just didn’t give a shit. And highway officials still don’t. It’s a hot mess and in my humble opinion should be a designated *safety zone* reduced speed from the Miranda exit to weott. Extreme. But so is the destruction / death thru there.

Miranda to Stafford, watch out.
Stay in the right lane, Jordan Creek to Stafford, always.
Trust me.

Weott overpass area, especially.

Yowsa.

Wasn’t that long ago that four were lost in one accident at Myers Flat.

The engine is a dead give away of high speeds.
This is why europeans get trained to drive extensively to even take the test for a drivers license.
It cost me,12 dollars here in my day and never even went on the freeway.
I thought really 12 bucks and around the block and I’m good to go on the freeway to endanger everyone else? What do we expect? I think its 24 dollars now and 50 questions and a quick test around 3 blocks in eureka and your a licensed driver. It’s ridiculous, but hey the DOT and the California DMV apparently know better. NOT!

Engine being torn out of the vehicle is a sign of a serious wreck, unless it came out of a Subaru, in that case it could have just hit a pot hole.

Just before Myers Flat going north, that speed limit for the longest time was 50 mph , then a few years back that was changed to 60 mph . Why? Prayers for these people, 🙏🏼🚙🚑🚒. I also feel for the first responders, it must be so much trauma to witness all these sad accidents lately. Thanks for your service first responders 🎖👏🙏🏼

She has diabetes, could have had an issue from that. She could have fallen asleep. Why do you people have to assume the worst of any situation?
