Press release from Caltrans:

U.S. 101 will remain open tonight at Last Chance Grade south of Crescent City in Del Norte County. Tonight beginning at 6 p.m. motorists should anticipate at least 30-minute delays. Then from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow motorists should be prepared for three-hour delays for our removal and prevention work. Please note this plan is subject to change with slide conditions and we will continue to update you with the latest information here.

They should contract with some cannabis farmers…they’re great at hauling truckloads of soil uphill.
