[UPDATE 4 p.m.: OPEN!] Avenue of the Giants Closed From Phillipsville to North of Weott
Caltrans has closed the Avenue of the Giants from Phillipsville to two miles north of Weott “due to downed trees and power lines.”
According to a post on Facebook, they have no estimated time for reopening the Avenue (also known as Hwy 254).
One tree that is about a foot and a half in diameter is down near Phillipsville road, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page. PG&E has been requested cas it is affecting power lines.

UPDATE 4 p.m.: According to Caltrans spokesperson Myles Cochran, Hwy 254, the Avenue, has now been reopened.

I was able to get to work this morning coming from Myers Flat to Miranda. It was open on that part.
