Performers:

Pato Banton

~ (born Patrick Murray; 5 October 1961) is a reggae singer and toaster from Birmingham, England. He is a grammy-nominated reggae legend that has recorded and toured the world with The English Beat, Steel Pulse, UB40 & STING! (just to name a few).  He is known for his uplifting messages, and hits such as ”Legalize It”, ”Don’t Sniff Coke” and ”Stay Positive;” all crowd favorites.

The Duet Ft. Bobby Vega

~ In 1973 Bobby Vega started his professional career as a bass player (he was 16 years old) on Sly Stones’ single “I Get High on You.” A Bay Area musician’s musician Bobby has since played with artists ranging from Joan Baez to Etta James. Bobby filled in when legendary Tower of Power bass player Francis “Rocco” Prestia had to take some extended leave. Bobby’s resume is so impressive it puts him not only on stage with the greats, but after over four decades, has made him a legend as well. Bobby was added to Bass Player Magazine’s Top 100 Bassists of all time in 2017.

George Porter Jr

~ is best known as the bassist of The Meters, along with Art Neville, Leo Nocentelli and Joseph Zigaboo Modeliste. The group was formed in the mid 60’s and came to be recognized as one of the progenitors of funk then called R&B. The Meters disbanded in 1977 but reformed in 1989. Today the original group still plays the occasional reunions but the Funky Meters, of which Porter and Neville are still members, most prominently keeps the spirit alive.

Object Heavy

~ is Northern California’s hardest hitting Soul sensation. While based in Arcata, this cast of musical characters has made waves up and down the North Coast of California, the Pacific Northwest, and various parts of the United States, as well as being voted best band in Humboldt by the North Coast Journal two years in a row.

Lyndsey Battle

~ likes to write songs about her love for the simpler things in life, usually with way too many wacky chord changes.  She spends time with her daughter in the garden, hoards a variety of homegrown canned goods in the garage.  She also enjoys teaching others how to play ukulele. Lyndsey strongly dislikes plastics but manages to play only nylon-stringed instruments most of the time.  In efforts to reduce her carbon footprint, she often waits way too long to change her strings. Most apparent is Lyndsey’s desire to make life a little better through music, a characteristic that makes sense to most.

David Starfire

~ is a producer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, known as the pioneer of Global Bass music which is a mix of world music, trap music, and bass music. He has performed at international festivals including Burning Man, Coachella, Winter Music Conference, Love Parade, Lightning in a Bottle, and Outside Lands.
