The California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page indicates that at 8:21 a.m. a vehicle was found fully engulfed in flames near the convergence of Highway 96 and Highway 169 near Weitchpec.

A picture provided by a passerby depicts an older model, two-tone pick-up truck on the roadside engulfed in flames and billowing black smoke.

The CHP Incident Information page indicates the vehicle is associated with an assault with a deadly weapon, which could indicate the vehicle was used to assault another party or the registered owner is suspected of being involved with an assault with a deadly weapon incident.

Fire personnel responded to the scene, extinguished the flames, and the vehicle was removed from the scene by Buddy’s towing. CHP impounded the vehicle and forwarded the information to Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office regarding the incident.

Kym, there doesn’t seem to be any mention of this on the CHP information site. Will you post screenshots or links of where the information was pulled from?
