[UPDATE 7:51 p.m.] Crash on Ridgewood Blocks Both Lanes, One Person Reportedly Fled
About 6:42 p.m., a vehicle crashed on Ridgewood Drive south of Eureka. One person fled but another is still in the vehicle with major injuries, according to the Incident Commander speaking over the scanner.
An ambulance is rushing to accident scene Code 3.
Traffic is stopped as the vehicle is blocking both lanes.

UPDATE 7:51 p.m.: The fire department has multiple units searching the area using infrared to locate the “outstanding party,” according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.

Was this the red car on walnut at the water treatment plant ? Drivers side damage and driver still in the car with multiple people assisting ?
Red car almost broadside me moments before this accident off walnut. Shortly after this happened I saw a CHP with lights and siren on heading that direction.
