Friend Confirms That Woman and Child Missing After a Crash Near Confusion Hill Have Been Located

Trinity Bray and Anthony

The three-year-old boy and his mother that have been missing since the car she was driving crashed into a tree about noon on November 30 have been located, according to a friend of the family.

According to scanner traffic, Leggett Fire was dispatched to the scene about 10:50 a.m. after Trinity Bray and her three-year-old son, Anthony, were located.

KMUD’s Lauren Schmitt is at the scene and sent us this video confirming that the two have been located.

The two are being taken to Garberville Hospital, according to a family friend. Ms. Bray has some injuries and the child is reported to be suffering from the cold.

It was in the 30s at night for the last week, and cold during the day, I am interested as many of you are to know whether she really was left out in the elements or picked up and dropped off again….. hummmmm . Glad they are ok, I do have questions. Interesting the Marijuana Eradication Team was out busting yesterday instead of helping to find this woman, what good does the MET do for Humboldt, all they do is steal and destroy peoples lives, never there to help our people at all. They are a pos.

I thought the same thing. They could have helped out, instead of busting someone that day.
We were looking in Humboldt, too. It wasn’t that far away.

State parks could have helped, also.
No sign of them, either.

Great job mama for keeping him safe.. regardless of anything else you’ve done. You kept him alive for 4 nights in freezing temperatures! That’s amazing!

Hallelujah!
Hallelujah!
Been worried sick.
Hope the little one is going to be fine.
The mom, too.
That’s a long time to go without food and water, and it’s been cold.
God bless whoever found them, and those also that searched.

Curious to what really happened? 4 days in the woods not likely seems more like fleeing from the scene with some drugs/alcohol in system. Not like she was in the middle of the desert. People all around. Glad child is ok

I’m glad they were found and all but the big question is why would she leave the scene of and accident and put her child’s life and her own in jeopardy…. she has to know how cold it gets around here…
Glad they’re safe but there is more to her story and I hope it comes out… child endangerment is no joke.

Glad child is ok!!! Curious where they were? 4 days? Seems like a dui diverted, A local off The highway disappeared with a child and stayed in the woods? Extremely doubtful.

Actually one day would be sufficient if that were the case. No need to go through hell and risk two lives for 3 more nights UJ

One day to sober up, three more to thrash around unable to emerge from the hideout over the embankment.

Maybe, just maybe, she hit her head in the major accident and wasn’t thinking quite straight. Which is just as much a possibility as any of the negative comments here….

I am very happy for this outcome, but really concerned as to what happened. Why were they hiding out? It would not have been hard to get help at any point in the lapse of time they were missing. The poor child. I hope the child can get a home. I hear she is homeless and keeping him homeless is a super sad situation. I am sure I see them walking on Central Ave passed our business in McKinleyville daily. Can anyone else confirm that is who they are? I want to help them!

I am a personal friend of Trinitys feel free to email me, she has went through a lot but, love that lil boy with all her heart, she just don’t have no help or to much family left either. And unfortunately her and Anthony have been wanting come next with me but I live in the Florida keys, so its not been as easy. She had been waiting on housing that was supposed to be coming through. I’ve known her since we were 13 years old, She’s one of the most good hearted people I’ve ever met. Well thank you for your time, have a blessed day.

Looks like they were exactly where I mentioned on the West side of 101 between the Highway and the Eel River. Cant wait to hear the story… why didnt CHP initiate a search earlier, this could have almost been fatal.

Kym,
Thank you for covering this so thoroughly and promptly.
It came as a great relief to know that first of all that they had been located,
and then the follow up report that they were alive and kicking added additional relief.

We helped look for them the day the K9 showed up with Deputy Logan and the CHP.

Today was a beautiful day.

In sticking with my online handle here, I’ll play Devil’s Advocate.

Let’s cut through the “he said, she said” of the coverage…
“…since the car she was driving crashed into a tree…”
She was driving.
She went off the road.
She hit the tree.
To paraphrase a 2nd Amendment quote –
Cars don’t hit trees.
People hit trees.

She was the driver.
She walked away from the injured man she was with, taking her child.

If I were an LEO, I’d be asking what she was under the influence of when she walked away to avoid the responsibilities, including child endangerment, of the accident.

Sugar coating thus removed.

Still glad they’re both OK.

It was heard on kmud that the boy was found naked hanging onto a tree 200 ft down an embankment. WTF happened to this innocent child?? Mother’s custody needs to be evaluated immediately not only did vanish from a major accident she endangered her sons life

Yep. The feelgood time on this story is likely to be quite short. The mother needs to be held accountable for leaving the scene of an accident and endangering her child while trying to hide.

Look up the thread to “ West Benbow” and that comment about a naked female, bruised, being in the roadway. Who knows what may have happened to both of them.

Hey anyone on this thread before you go to judging her know the facts !
The mother has multiple broken bones frostbite a heart issue now and possible sepsis from the frost bite plus other injuries ok she didn’t go intentionally running she tried to get her child out of the car because she thought it was dangerous tried to sit down on the side of the road to wait for help lost her footing because they are broken and fell down a 600 ft embankment. So do y’all have anymore sentiments be happy they are alive !

The area was searched twice, so why were they not found during those times? I’m sure people were calling for them, why not answer? Why were they naked? Just questions so many of us have. Glad they were found but the questions are still there.

Judgmental is a negative word to describe someone who often rushes to judgment without reason. The adjective judgmental describes someone who forms lots of opinions — usually harsh or critical ones — about people.
Most of the posts here are really sad misinformation and from judgmental people. Isn’t life hard enough for each and every one of us that we should rally around those being falsely accused in the media and no less by the very cops who failed to find a woman and her young child? A woman who did not leave the scene but fell down an embankment?? A woman who protected her young son during the ordeal and kept him alive.
This was a terrible car accident that is being made into a “crime scene”. The crime is that this young mother did nothing wrong but lived through a very unfortunate circumstance. I would bet that most of us know of or have dealt with situations where law enforcement is fast to throw all charges on people that later get dismissed because of lack of evidence, as I truly believe will be the case here.
Let us thank our Dear God for Trinity and her son being found alive. May Trinity be blessed with the return of her son and the truth be known she did nothing wrong!!!!!!! Trinity is a good mother and loves her son more than anyone or anything.

SHE LEFT THE SCENE OF AN ACCIDENT, WHERE SOMEONE WAS ALSO LEFT INJURED IN THE VEHICLE!!! That alone is in FACT, a crime. Yes she did WRONG! You don’t walk away from an accident that you’re involved in, when people are there to help. Common sense. So throw your judgemental definition around all you want. Because she left the accident with major injuries to her passenger. FACT!!!
