Think it’s time to stop reading the news for awhile.
May you heal fast!
I think that must have occurred on Ocean (the street that runs behind Fairfield). That intersection has a long distance between the two corners, it would take a long time for someone using a wheelchair or walker to get across, and there is no marked crosswalk.
Fairfield is one block to the west. That looks like Central Avenue to me.
It was.. we were there…. by Happy donuts.. not even close to Fairfield
COVID
I don’t use sunglasses much in the summer but like now when the sun is low in the horizon I really need them for driving.
Actually this accident was at Central and Henderson, two blocks away from Fairfield.
Seriously get it straight. She was crossing the intersection of West Henderson and Central Ave. Not Fairfield. Fairfield is two blocks west
After looking at the map and the photos, I think you are correct. I’m checking with my reporter who was there. It’s late though. It might be tomorrow before I can get an answer.
The person struck while using the wheelchair as a walking aid is just plain lucky to be alive. I feel sorry for the driver of the Chevy truck. Nobody wants to hit another person with their vehicle. I hope the person struck will be fine, and has learned a good lesson on how and when to cross the street.
I blame ObamaCare
