I don’t see anything about a deer in the story above.

That’s because it was a hit and run. After the deer hit the bike it ran away.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery!

You might be right Frito. Certainly enough of them lately. Fires and everything drove alot of wild life around this year.

Hope the injuries are fully recoverable, and that the rider can recover quickly.

Actually…they can and do hit vehicles! My husband and I were driving down Compton dip and had a spooked deer dart out of the woods and she ran straight into the side of our car!! So scary!! She got up and ran back the way she came.

We had a deer run into the side of our car, out near Ridgewood. It came out of the woods and struck the rear right quarter panel. There were no oncoming vehicles, so I steered to the left, well into the opposite lane, in order to avoid this animal, but it kept coming anyway and hit the back of the car.

If you say that to an insurance company your claim will be denied. Deer hit vehicles! If you say THAT your claim will be awarded.

Not always, Miguel. I have been hit twice by deer running into my car, once just outside the city limits of Eureka and once on the freeway just south of CR. Both times they ran into drivers door and broke my side mirror right off. No fun for either of us.

Hoping the biker will make a full recovery from his injuries. You can’t hit the pavement too many time before old man death will grab you. Fellow bikers please be safe!

A car pulled out in front of him, he swerved to avoid collision which resulted in his crash. There was no deer!
