Del Norte County Moves to Purple Tier
Press release from Del Norte County Public Health:
There have been forty (40) positive cases of COVID-19 reported to Public Health since the last update on 11/20/2020. The level of transmission of COVID-19 is now widespread in our community and we have officially been moved into the Purple Tier. The amount of cases we have had in the last two weeks and the amount of contacts generated from each case has been overwhelming to our Public Health system. We had to make the decision to follow up with patients or to focus on our data and some of the specifics of the cases will need to be added at a later date.We at Public Health continue to reach out to cases and contacts. We would like to urge anyone who has received a positive COVID-19 test or is a close contact of a positive case to visit our website at www.covid19.dnco.org to find out what they should do next. A large majority of these cases were linked to gatherings, so we would like to remind everyone to be as safe as possible during this holiday weekend. Small actions can have a large effect–not just on a few people, but on our entire community.New confirmed COVID-19 cases: 40Current active cases: 93Current Hospitalizations: 0Total tests: 10398Total confirmed cases: 313Total inactive cases: 220Total hospitalizations: 5Total deaths: 1TransmissionContact to a Known Case: 91 cases (33%)Household Case: 72 cases (26%)Travel-Acquired: 34 cases (12%)Community Transmission: 64 cases (23%)Under Investigation: 15 cases (6%)GenderMales: 161 cases (52%)Females: 150 cases (48%)Age Range0-17 years: 51 cases (16%)18-49 years: 192 cases (61%)50-64 years: 53 cases (17%)65+ years: 17 cases (6%)Mean Age: 36Symptomatic Cases: 192 cases (71%)Asymptomatic Cases: 80 cases (29%)Passive Case Finding: 169 cases (61%)Active Case Finding: 106 cases (39%)For more information about these numbers please visit our COVID-19 Website at http://www.covid19.dnco.org

How many of the current cases are prisoners that are locked up?
I was wondering the same.
