Congrats are in order for Louis Cosce of Hoopa on making his UFC debut last night in Las Vegas. While he didn’t win, he definitely made an impression after almost securing the win in the first round.

“Cosce put a hurting on him there,” said announcer Joe Rogan.

Ultimately though, Cosce’s opponent Sasha Palatnikov was able to recover and secured the W in the third round.

While Louis’ brother Orion was originally scheduled to fight at last night’s event, he had to pull out due to injury. Their former Hoopa wrestling coach recently told Humboldt Sports they were born for the MMA stage.

In the several conversations I’ve had with Louis one thing stands out: he’s a humble, kind person. Definitely a classy guy. I wish him the best.
