About 8:10 this morning, the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office and other law enforcement participated in an arrest on Glendale Road near Blue Lake. A K-9 was used to take down the suspect, according to a neighbor.

Subsequently, the suspect was taken to the hospital with dog bites, according to an officer requesting an ambulance over the scanner.

We are trying to confirm the name of the suspect but we believe it was someone identified as the head of a drug trafficking organization who has been connected to a large meth bust.

We’ll update when we get more information.

UPDATE 10:25 a.m.: According to Samantha Karges from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, this was a Drug Task Force operation. We’ve reached out to Sgt. Matt Tomlin who is heading the Task Force and will update when we get more information.

UPDATE: FBI, HCDTF, HCSO, and APD Arrest Federal Fugitive, Terrance Reeves

The stop sign paint on the road and the chain link fence speak differently of the location.

“Folks said he was a mover, the main man on the block
Hundred dollar sneakers and a tote full of rocks
Never saw that Chevy, never heard the devil laugh
Chalk line on the sidewalk was his only epitaph”
Earl Stillson
