FBI, HCDTF, HCSO, and APD Arrest Federal Fugitive, Terrance Reeves

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

vOn November 19th, 2020, special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), with the assistance from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and a K-9 Officer from the Arcata Police Department (APD) served a federal Steagald warrant on Glendale Dr. in Blue Lake. This warrant was issued to apprehend federal fugitive Terrance Reeves on a federal probation violation warrant.

When agents arrived at the property Reeves was standing next to a vehicle in the driveway. Reeves immediately ran from agents into a wooded area behind the residence. The APD K-9 Officer and agents pursued Reeves for approx. 150 yards through the woods with the APD K-9 Officer giving several warnings to stop or he would deploy his K-9. Reeves continued to flee at which time K-9 Baron was deployed and apprehended Reeves. K-9 Baron

Agents searched Reeves incident to arrest and located ammunition and methamphetamine in his pocket. Reeves suffered injuries during the K-9 apprehension. An agent from HCDTF who is also an EMT provided medical assistance to Reeves prior to an ambulance arriving. Reeves was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance and then was booked at the Humboldt County Jail. Reeves will be transported to a federal detention center by the US Marshalls.

The HCDTF would like to thank the HCSO, APD, and FBI for their assistance with this investigation.

Anyone with information related to this investigation or other narcotics related crimes are encouraged to call the Humboldt County Drug Task Force at 707-267-9976.

I wonder if Baron saw the irony in this guy’s tattoo of a predator’s paw on his neck

He was picked up a month ago – why did they have to go catch him again?

just like they let Kaleb out to go to his dad’s funeral and haven’t seen him since. it seems like they treat long time locals differently and get the same results over and over. this area of the county has a serious hard drug problem that just gets worse.

Again, I’d like to thank the lowlife community for bar coding themselves to facilitate capture.

I agree, there’s a gun around there somewhere. Probably in the house, but I doubt they go in and search the house on the Steagald warrant if they already apprehended the suspect.

At any rate, good dog!

So he was arrested last month with 7 pounds of meth. Why is he being arrested again? They let some people straight from Sinaloa, Mexico go a few months ago with 6 pounds of heroin. Now mask mandates and curfews are supposed to be enforced on us while they let people with pounds of the hardest drugs go. This state is a complete joke. Law Enforcement, the D.A. and all the judges are completely useless, complete jokes, have made a mockery of justice. There is no reason to obey a single law because they won’t throw you in jail anyway.

Full of absolute shit. Since when do police follow judges orders lol? That’s the DA’s problem. You and I both damn well know the blanket warrants are simple way to cya when it’s snafu. Any cop will tell you they don’t wait on judges. This is why cops have rep’s at the sit down. By the book gets you shot or fired.

Don’t for one second think this was done with good old fashioned police work. It was done using a stingray. Source: buddy who was on this op.

I don’t find the meaning of stingray to be anything of what you might mean on urban dictionary. So.. what? A neighbor called the cops? Good on em

Stingray is a cell intercept system where a device is used to proxy a cell tower. All cell devices in range connect to it and it logs all the pertinent data from the phones.

A lot of details on the system are secret because all law enforcement agencies that use it sign a NDA with the manufacturer.

👍 spot on old sport. Can’t believe Connery is gone.

That NDA was pushed to the point where the AUSA’S have had to let seriously bad people go free in the interest of clandestine continuity.

Push the plea hard on ray cases. Never ever let the scripts ever touch disclosure. Ever. If they go to the box, push and flee. SOP

Mind you 50-70% of “good hard police work” is actually a ray intercept with a doe indictment and a blanket warrants with a geoSpec pen reg and a few skips. Lots of legal shit based off one hell of a controversial intercept, that will most likely see a plea, never ever a jury trial, threaten one it will get dropped, even if it’s murder. SOP

This system has saved countless lives with cops being in “the right spot at the right time”.

However… It is insanely sketchy, zero oversight at all. Actually if you talk about it your considerd a frog, opsec

I just want to make the end of the story.

Ummm, if 7 pounds didn’t keep him locked up doubt a probation violation will. More news to come in another 90 days, I suspect.

Hahaha. Whatever you say girlfriend. He is not a good man. He is a lowlife drug dealer and has been since he was a teenager. You need to upgrade your choices in men. Take a crash course in what constitutes a good man and a bad man.
