Green Diamond to Conduct Prescribed Burns NE of Trinidad

Don’t be alarmed by smoke you see northeast of Trinidad as Green Diamond will be conducting burns today in that area.
According to Gary Rynearson, a spokesperson, “Weather conditions permitting, Green Diamond plans to conduct fuel hazard reduction burns this morning four miles northeast of Trinidad. Smoke will be visible from US 101 between Trinidad and Patrick’s Point State Park. The burning is expected to start around 9:00 AM and should be completed by late afternoon.”

It better be done by today. NWS is predicting gusts up to 36 mph in the middle of the night and 44 mph gusts Tuesday.
