Trinity County Man Arrested for Attempted Murder
This is a press release from the Trinity County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On October 27, 2020 at 2:20 pm, the Trinity County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center received a report of an assault in the area of Lewiston, CA. The suspect in matter was identified as Terrin C. Chase, and the caller indicated he had already left the location.
While Deputies were responding to the location, another report was made which indicated that Chase had returned to the scene with a firearm and was discharging the firearm at individuals and buildings.
Deputies responded to the location, but Chase again fled the scene. Chase was located a short distance from the location in a vehicle and taken into custody without incident.
During the course of the investigation, the firearm utilized was located as were various other items of evidence, which indicated that the report as made had been accurate.
Chase was interviewed, during which time he admitted to possessing the firearm, discharging the firearm, and being at the scene of the incident.
No individuals were harmed as a result of this incident, and Chase remains in custody at the Trinity County Jail.Persons Involved:

The key here is “taken into custody without incident”. If only this were the norm everywhere.
It’s usually up to the suspect.
It usually is the “NORM” everywhere unless the suspect is resisting or acting as tho they are going to pull a weapon. The police are people just like you and I, who do a very hard job and I respect them very much for their courage and service. I think all the people who want to defund the police and who attack and try to hurt or kill them should loose access to 911 services and if there in trouble so what. You brought it on yourself. Let them live in the sh*ithole they want to live in.
Yeah but would you be calling the law when those people handled things their way ?
My post was meant as a negative reflection on people who resist the police. Pull a knife gun taser and wonder why they get shot. I back the blue!
