Talk about timing. For anyone who really wants to freak out, there’s a new movie coming out about covid. It takes place in 2024 where the current virus has mutated into COVID-23. 50% of people infected die and the world is forced into stringent lockdown camps. That’ll get em up in the aisles. Good ol Hollywood.

Looks like we’re stuck in yellow, big shocker! Even with this ginormous second wave . Second wave hit in April ,we were just a day late and dollar short as usual. Science is rarely leading ,almost always lagging.

The rates of new infections continues anabated. The world was 537,000, off by 1,000 of a new record, and the US just set a new record for daily infections at 89,000. No one ever thought we’d be at 100,000 a day but thats where we are headed.

The seven day averages are worse. In three weeks the world has gone from 308,000 to 475,000 a day, and the US from 44,000 to 77,000.

Lockdowns now in, or on order, throughout Europe and slowly heading for certain states, especially in the upper midwest. It’s only a matter of time I think for them. California is doing a lot better and may avoid lockdowns. Only time will tell and if people take the time to protect themselves and others. We can still maybe bring this thing back down.

How many people are tested as a precaution currently compared to two months ago? Tons of younger people in the essential workforce are now screened ,tested for precautionary reasons, not because of symptoms, how does this affect the case rate? Pretty simple reason for case rates to spike. Now fatalities would be a different story, but your talking cases.

LR, everything is going up. Hospitalizations, deaths, rates. The main reason that some appear low is because the main people getting it now are the young who don’t usually go serious long term.

Death rate in US is NOT up,that is a lie. Deaths in Humboldt are not up , that is a lie. Young are not affected anymore than the flu affects them. 90 percent of fatalities are over 70 yrs old, this doesn’t affect the young. Quit lying.

The death rate per confirmed case from COVID-19 has declined as doctors have figured out how to treat the serious cases though the total number of deaths per day are back over 1,000 in the US.

As the number of hospitals that are running out of room and access to the common treatments used to treat serious cases increases the death rate could well begin to climb again. This is what the medical professionals are warning against right now because everything we’re headed towards (winter, holidays, etc.) can lead to a significant rise in infections, hospitalizations, and deaths if we don’t stay (or get) vigilant about masks, social distancing, avoiding indoor crowds, and hand washing.

Fatalities have been hoovering at 1000 for the last 2 months in the US. No change. But cases have spiked for the last 2 months.

researcher,

You’re floundering in the numbers, stuck in the quagmire of seeing volumes of new cases without deaths to match the ratio. The MSM is teaching people how to worry over stupid. WHO cares how many new cases? Everyone cares over the deaths to the weak and infirm. Fear the fear is stupid.

In simple terms, everybody ought to run-out and catch a full helping of covid-19. The foolish and needless concern of new cases is wrong, we’re 9+ months into this virus. Haven’t we learned what we should fear? Or maybe like researcher says, we should fear the fear.

Kym, apologies if the song video from College Humor that I linked was too crude for the site. It just really seemed to fit the moment.
