Unidentified Body Found in Burning Pickup Near Hayfork

Press release from the CHP:

On 10/20/2020, at approximately 7:56 PM, Officers with the California Highway Patrol Trinity River Area Office received a report of a vegetation fire on SR-3 near mile marker 17.00 north of Hayfork. At approximately 8:26 PM, a crew cab pickup was discovered off the roadway in the burn area. After flames were extinguished, it was determined that a deceased person was in the pickup. Due to the condition of the truck and party located within, no identification has made at this time. This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call the California Highway Patrol office in Weaverville at (530) 623-3832.

Don’t do people wrong in the backwoods and you won’t get community justice. Be a good person and do your best.
Come around the wild west running your mouth and find out. This isn’t your safe place. Go home!

“Rude comment” just barely scratches the surface of that comment.

Sounds like a mother of children was killed in a crash. Sincere condolences to her family.
