What’s the condition of the 2nd driver ? Thought the air ambulance being canceled may mean the driver that plowed into tree didn’t make it ?

I came upon the scene just before it happened. The tow truck hit a big tree and people were trying to get the door open. There was a few civillans a forestry guy and a cal trans guy. More people began to help get the door open. A few out of town fire fighters showed up and began to help. It took a while to get the door open. Carlotta fire showed up and they must of had the equipment to unpin the driver. He was pinned in the cab and the ambulance came on took the driver away. I overheard he did have some broken bones. He’s lucky, since it looked really really bad. I didn’t see any other car that looked involved.

Thanks, the tree is probably older that the driver. I was raised to respect my elders.

I don’t know why he left the road, but after hitting that redwood, and seeing the tow truck damage, I just think he is real lucky to be alive. He was also wearing his seat belt which I am sure helped some. Hope he will heal quickly, and be fine.
