UPDATE:

Press release from Trinity County Health and Human Services:

On October 3, 2020, Trinity County Public Health Branch (TCPHB) had reported lab confirmation of seven (7) persons who tested positive for COVID-19 in Trinity County, being referred to as a ‘cluster.’

All Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) in California must test any and all staff or contractors that have the potential to interact with SNF residents, or who must gain entry into the unit for any reason. This cluster was identified through that routine testing at Trinity Hospital, Mountain Community Healthcare District, located at 60 Easter Ave., Weaverville, CA 96093. No residents have been determined to have had any contact with any person who has tested positive. Also, no staff from the clinics or emergency department tested positive. Trinity Hospital states that they are working with the California Department of Public Health and are able to safely care for patients if care is needed.

If you were at Trinity Hospital between September 24, 2020 and October 3, 2020, and believe you are experiencing symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or are concerned that you have been exposed, please contact your health care provider to determine if you should be tested.

The TCPHB COVID-19 Surveillance and Control Team (SCT), the TCPHB Director, County Health Officer, the California Department of Public Health (CDPH), as well as Hospital Administration are coordinating efforts to ensure public safety. TCPHB-SCT has conducted case investigation and contact tracing related to this cluster of cases. All positive persons have been isolated and close contacts have been quarantined and will be monitored for symptoms by PHB-SCT.

We want to ensure the safety of our residents and continue to ask that you follow the mandates laid out by CDPH and the Governor’s Office:

Practice social distancing of at least 6 feet Frequent hand washing and sanitizing of surfaces Wearing a face covering

Contact your healthcare provider with concerns

All client information is kept confidential under the law.

How much of this is fear and propaganda? Trinity Co. is the most rural of Ca. I have been reading these articles, and it seems to me lately they have created a new law, cracking down on virus, while releasing actual criminals. A new govt agency, contacting, tracing, and monitoring citizens, forcing lockdown and house arrest? Like a parole officer checking up on you? And they let meth and heroin busts walk? They will arrest you for no mask?

None of it is propaganda. You need to keep in touch with reality. And please, whatever you do, don’t take medical advice from the president. It may cause your untimely death. Don’t drink bleach. Don’t shove UV-C light probes up your butt. Don’t think the flu vaccine might work against COVID-19. And so on.

Who is being arrested for not wearing masks? What new govt agency? Seems like you’re misinformed, do you watch Fox News?

Just because you don’t understand the science behind the CDC guidelines doesn’t mean they’re not necessary.

I don’t think there is an official agency, but they are probably referring to this press release from May.

https://www.gov.ca.gov/2020/05/22/governor-newsom-launches-california-connected-californias-contact-tracing-program-and-public-awareness-campaign/

So far, there has been only talk about fines or arrests for non-masking individuals. There is no criminal code so far delineating actions against those who are not compliant with the recommended health order. I would imagine that enforcing such a code would be next to impossible and a waste of police resources.

Good to know about these new cases. Until Saturday there were only 16 cases in Trinity County from the beginning of this pandemic, and even with this new cluster of cases, Trinity continues to be the lowest county per capita in California for Covid-19, at 201.2 per 100,000 according to the LA Times Coronavirus Tracker. We are lucky to be so remote. Stay safe, wear masks and practice social distancing to support our local economy and keep us all healthy until this pandemic is over!

If you work at a hospital , change out of your nasty work clothes please

“Stay the fuck away from hospitals?” Except when you need medical care. Just a guess but I bet you ingest bleach for infections and refuse vaccines?

Did you ever think nurses might be on their way to work?

Yeah , it’s best to question EVERYTHING the establishment tells you to do.

Except pay for endless wars, and welfare, because they encourage corporations to move overseas, to champion that cheap labor force, and want you to pay taxes on everything so the people all fucked on prescription drugs have a solid supply.

I’m sure you are aware that there isn’t a good hospital within 3 hours of Eureka.

So fuck hospitals, and fuck doctors who can’t diagnose a brain tumor, because they know that MRI is coming out of his bottom line.

And yea, she had just gotten off of work.

You have no facts

You do realize that science is an ongoing project of research and discussion, right? How anyone conflates that with political ideology is beyond me. I guess neither are static? Is that the point you’re making?

Considering hospitals accidentally kill over 400,000 – 1,000,000 people a year ( that’s up to five times as many as covid so far) it’s probably not a good idea to go to one unless you absolutely need to…

I’ve gone to the hospital less than a dozen times in a decade.

Interestingly I was in the Trinity clinic during these days mentioned in the article.

My point is that I agree, you should go only if you feel the need.

However I think that’s s general consensus..

Numbers and specifics are interesting, THC.

For instance, as permitted and licensed drivers, we kill 36,000 per year in the US.

And that’s just driving, we aren’t trying to fix people’s deathly or physical woes as drivers.

😉

You might want to say something else to those healthcare workers, which is “Thank You for being here”, which even the people of Garberville do when somebody makes the mistake of moving to Garberville to work at SHCHD…

And you might later be wanting to kiss their feet, when the Healthcare Worker is serving your family members, and taking care of those SNF patients…

At Trinity Hospital, those staff members are being tested weekly. They wash their hands in between patients, and wear a mask for their entire shift! They are the Last Line of care, in a world going to shit!

If you are so righteous, I hope you are never leaving your house, never going anywhere, doing your part to not spread this infection!

Don’t start thinking it’s over either, because it has barely begun…

And, PW, even YOU may need care, even you may need the services of those Hospital Employees, so try to be nice, even if you don’t care a whit about anyone else…

Be thankful that Trinity Hospital exists! Those folks there are working faithfully, in a very poor environment and with a very unhealthy population, to maintain essential services! As district hospitals go, Trinity Hospital is as good as it gets!

Se safe, be well, and support the tiny amount of available healthcare services that are available! It might be YOU in that SNF bed in a few years…

To everyone working at MCHD: Thank You and hang in there!

🕯🌳I see one everyday she’s my neighbor. She’s draws blood at the hospital and she goes back and forth to work in her scrubs and I’m proud to know her. She won’t wash her scrubs with her regular clothes or use a regular washer she goes out of her way to wash them in a old washer at her mom’s that no one uses anymore. 👍🏽👍🏽

People who work in healthcare check vitals , administer drugs.

Trauma room medicine is emergency medical care.

All the rest is legal drug interactions.

Hospitals are complicit in this Covid Cancel Culture.

Trump is asking for more problems. He has a disease for Pete’s sake. It is not “cured”, he is not invincible and it could still kill him. And spread to others around him. I can see the point in not letting fear of it ruin every other part of life but this behavior is hubris at a new level and hubris can, in this case, take his life even now.

You clearly did not understand what it is and said you thought a POTUS should have it as a “quality”. Because hubris ends badly. That is the point.

Trump feels better than he has for 20 years because he’s on a cocktail of cordical steroids. Ever taken prednizone? The stuff he’s taking makes it look like Tic Tacs.

Coronavirus takes weeks to play out. This is idiotic political theater.

Likely true. But how does an army hospital knock a President on the side of the head and tell him it’s the drugs talking? I suspect they will be lowering the dose.

This item incorrectly identifies Trinity Hospital as the “Center” of a CoV-19 “cluster.

A careful reading indicates that no hospital employees and no residents of the SNF, had a positive test.

It is possible that someone who came in for services had a positive test, or even seven somebodies, but calling the hospital a center of a “cluster” appears to be inaccurate.

Thanks!

It says no staff from the “Emergency room” or “Clinic”. “Emergency room” being a specific sector and “clinic” being a different building.

That leaves plenty of space for other Hospital employees.

You’re right. The devil in the details concerning covid press releases is less real and more fabrications today. It’s not so much what you release but instead, what you don’t release.

Today the headlines in Shasta County says 167 new cases over the weekend!!!!! A new record.

There are zero facts available to collaborate that release. Somebody reported the numbers and disappeared with the facts.

Best advice is to be skeptical.

So you think everyone is in on a giant conspiracy?

What do you mean “zero facts”?

Almost everyone at this point knows someone affected by this disease. Nevermind the President, Flotus, Conway, etc…

The press release is the fact of numbers, unless you simply don’t believe for no sake at all.

Get real, Rod. You’re the one who refuses the facts.

They are available when you are ready.

678. That’s a number. Or 19. That’s a number too. What it means is not in a number but an explanation of what is being numbered. 7 cases in a nursing home is a different thing than 7 cases in the general population for assessing risk. Why do you have to be so personally nasty in every single post?

FOOLS / TOOLS OF the Trade.

We’ve weaponized information so much that the delivery itself, is just not enough to get the message across.

One person dies, it’s a tragedy.
One million die, its a statistic.

The key is how to make people respond.

2020, it’s all about Racism and Covid.

No conspiracy, bad journalism.

60 new cases with deaths from a single SNF old folks home. normal
123 new cases from Bethel super natural ministry. not so normal

The numbers are useless until they’re supported by context. They were released this afternoon late. My logic stands [edit]

Every one who is responsible for press releases should have to take a workshop on writing for clarity. That release throws out testing requirements for nursing homes so is a nursing home the cluster? Who are the residents they want to protect? If a nursing home is involved why is it centered are the hospital? Confusing at best.

Exactly. There are other departments. For example, hypothetically of course, the people that tested positive could of come from places like dietary, administration, pharmacy, or any other number of places.

These are your experts…..

Science, Who funds the experts…

Influence on research

The source of funding may introduce conscious or unconscious biases into a researcher’s work.[20] Disclosure of potential conflicts of interest (COIs) is used by biomedical journals to guarantee credibility and transparency of the scientific process. Conflict of interest disclosure, however, is not systematically nor consistently dealt with by journals which publish scientific research results. When research is funded by the same agency that can be expected to gain from a favorable outcome there is a potential for biased results and research shows that results are indeed more favorable than would be expected from a more objective view of the evidence. A 2003 systematic review studied the scope and impact of industry sponsorship in biomedical research. The researchers found financial relationships among industry, scientific investigators, and academic institutions widespread. Results showed a statistically significant association between industry sponsorship and pro-industry conclusions and concluded that “Conflicts of interest arising from these ties can influence biomedical research in important ways”.[21] A British study found that a majority of the members on national and food policy committees receive funding from food companies.[22]

Plenty more

Here’s the thing with Trinity Hospital, aka MCHD. You want to avoid going there if you can, for any reason, but even more so now with COVID-19.

Proper policies and procedures regarding PPE and patient screening are just not being made, until recently, and are most certainly not being followed by staff. In short employees of Trinity Hospital do what they want because there are no consequences if they don’t. Certain groups of individuals simply consider themselves exempt from the rules.

CEO Aaron Rogers is very much to blame for all of it. He parallels our president Mr Trump in many ways. He’s an anti-masker, a COVID denier, a chauvinist, incapable of making decisions much less enforcing them, should never of been put in a position of power and most definitely does not care about anything other than himself.
