Does anybody have an opinion about staying in Indian valley to avoid being shut out because of roadblocks? Don’t want to endanger any first responders but it is the spot farthest away from the fire and it seems premature but I no expert.

I’m looking for opinions from people who know the area and the present location of the fire rather than general admonishment for not following orders.

It’s at least three ridges away.many miles. I know these things can change quickly but there are three ways out if things get hot.

My opinion is….. if you are going to cause people to worry and look for you because you dont have the confidence, then go to safety. I would not suggest anyone to ignore… do what you want. Be an adult, and dont ask someone else to.bail you out cause you’re an idiot. But last one showed they were willing to allow VOUCHERS ONLY to legal grows and not my mother or anyone who just live there.

You don’t put the camp where the fire is for obvious reasons….

Does Kettenpom have power?

I have lost all faith in the ability of this Alaska IMT. They failed to button things up with the last low pressure, when temps were down and RH’s we’re up (southwest wind). They failed to preposition resources with a known wind event (Sunday) around structures along Ruth Lake (northeast/East wind). Now winds are blowing from the North/NW and about to bump Zenia and Kettenpom, “again”. This isn’t rocket science. Many homes have been lost because of the inability to plan, forecast, position and protect. Good luck cal fire because it’s headed your way, “Again”!🤞

My husband met a guy up deer hunting who was from Ruth that witnessed the firefighters as they stood by and watched his house burn down and made no attempt to put the fire out.

The Alaska IMT would lose their jobs and careers if they were large firefighter fatalities. If you want them to take larger risks then the lsws and policies of USFS shouldn’t punish them for being aggressive. Look at the fire Captain on the biscuit complex who had a dozer operator die lost his job.

Kym, there is no evacuation order for Bear Wallow, Friend Mountain, Indian Valley. They are under a warning as of now. Just checked with Forest Service and that is what they said.

Thanks for all you do.

The Forest Service corrected their information to include those areas I listed above. Your information is correct Kym.

I’m sorry to have sent you on this errand.

I sure hope all the people that live in that area will leave. Don’t make it another Ruth Lake where some refused to leave, causing others to lose their homes. Nothing is worth being killed for.

California let these fires get out of control for their climate change agendas and the G20 summit. California politics is the real problem. Corrupt California = Commifornia

These are National Forests that are burning. They are run by a Republican administration. What does the UN have to do with any of this? I swear, all republicans have to contribute anymore are delusional conspiricy theories and xenophobia.

Just like Germany before ww2. Health an safety of the people. Do as your told. Government is here to help . Funny thing is commifornia is the leader in socialism, but can’t even run it own state and want to tell every one how to live.. no forest management other than burning it down. Lazy socialist commifornia . Cali will be Venezuela in no time.
Im buying my breadline waiting shoes now before I can’t afford them.

These are *federally administered* National Forests that are burning. These forests and the USFS firefighters are administered by Trump appointees.

And yes, you should definately leave the evacuation zone when they tell you to. Your tractor and garden hose will do nothing to protect you from a collapsing pyrocumulus cloud or a firestorm that moves 5 miles in one hour.
