This afternoon the Humboldt County Drug Task Force is serving a warrant in the 3300 block of Montgomery Street in Eureka again, confirmed Special Agent Matt Tomlin.

On August 18, the DTF served a search warrant at the home. According to Tomlin at the time, the investigation into activity at the property was the result of “multiple neighbor complaints about drug activity at the residence.”

At that time, Tomlin said that the DTF “located approx 1.5 ounces of heroin and evidence of heroin sales as well as approx 200 OxyContin & Xanax pills. We also seized approx $7,000 in US Currency for asset forfeiture.”

We’ve requested more information about the search today but as it is ongoing, the answers may take some time.

UPDATE 5:30 p.m.: According to an update from Tomlin, “HCDTF served a narcotics related search warrant at the same residence on Montgomery as a few weeks ago. Today we arrested Dustin Pool (38 years old Eureka) for a Warrant as well as for possession of heroin and possession of stolen property. He is currently being booked at the Humboldt County Jail.”

When Life Sucks Because Of The Absolute squeeze this world puts on people, yeah, escapism is a real way to forget about how the few control the many.

I feel very confident that if drugs were all legal drug use would decline rapidly. Get rid of the suppliers. They wouldn’t be able to make any money and they would just go away. Over some time without dealers the decline would start. The only people profiting are the dealers at every level. The rest of us are victims as they break into our house to steal money to buy drugs. We keep this war on drugs alive for the criminals sake not to protect the innocent victims. I understand that to some people this seems like a radical idea but if they would just think about it and then think about it again they might see it my way. If drugs were sold on a legal platform And there was nobody trying to get them hooked after some time this would just go away. People would not have to be afraid that their houses are going to be broken into just to satisfy some dealer or user.

Not one mention of drugs being involved in about half of all murders…nor of the fact that alcohol is the most commonly abused drug.

If drugs were decriminalized and sold–through a state-run store at low cost (or even for free) addicts would not need to rob and burgle in order to pay the hogh price for illegal drugs. Violent crime would go dramatically down. People who came to buy drugs could be offered treatment for addiction. Most drugs harm only the user. Alcoholism, of course, harms the community and individual far far more than any of the current illegal drugs. Look at the marijuana example–it’s still a bit messed up because some are running illegal operations to avoid tax, but we don’t jail people for use anymore or for possession.

The government needs to take over the drug sales. The government could sale better and cheaper drugs, for almost free. The drug dealers would go out of business !

Oz. Of weed shouldn’t cost $250. + At a pot shop. The black market will never go away if fools continue to pay high prices for weed.
