Complaints From Neighbors Led to ‘large illegal cannabis processing and distribution operation’

Eureka Police Department EPDThis is a press release from the Eureka Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On September 28, 2020, the Eureka Police Department’s Problem Oriented Policing Team (POP) along with City of Eureka’s Code Enforcement unit served a search warrant at a residence on the 200 block of Boyle Drive in Eureka. The California Department of Food and Agriculture was also on scene to assist. The warrant was obtained and served in response to ongoing complaints and concerns of an illicit marijuana operation taking place in a residential neighborhood.

During the execution of the search warrant, Detectives uncovered a large illegal cannabis processing and distribution operation. Detectives seized approximately 1,270 pounds of processed marijuana bud, approximately 35,000 pre-rolled marijuana joints and 1.4 pounds of concentrated cannabis. Additionally, detectives located numerous packages of heat-sealed marijuana ready to ship to numerous locations on the east coast.

No arrests were made in this investigation but the responsible parties have been identified, interviewed and the case will be sent to the Humboldt County District Attorney’s Office for review as well as the City Attorney’s office for multiple city code violations.

The City of Eureka fully supports the regulated cannabis industry and if anyone has any questions concerning the permitting process you can contact Economic Development Manager, Swan Asbury at (707) 268-1830. However, unlicensed and unpermitted cannabis activity in the city will not be tolerated. Anyone with information related to this type of activity in the City of Eureka is encouraged to call the City of Eureka Code Enforcement unit at (707) 441-4155 or EPD POP unit at (707) 441-4373.

Wow- I bet those very severe “code violations” will scare them straight! Why would anybody want to make thousands of dollars when they stand a .01% chance of getting caught and not even arrested but receiving CODE VIOLATIONS? Those CODE VIOLATIONS can end up on your permanent record and really affect your life, right? Can’t abate and levy huge crazy fines if it’s a rental house. Or can they? There ya go John Ford- grab some more money from property owners! Or does this mean that 1270 pounds in city limits is okay …but don’t you dare grow 25 plants in the rural countryside? The disconnects are apparent here, the injustices are blatant.

If you can’t keep your shit on the down low, expect to get popped!
Hope this clown is ready to pay the rightful owners back the money he now owes them or else I’m sure we’ll read about a dissappearance or shooting shortly. Good luck knuckleheads! Remember, shut your dumb fat mouth if you don’t want to get robbed or busted.

Dunno. That's a couple million dollars of dope. The perps were smart though, they had no cash on site.
If they were doing that for a bit they might have run $20 million dollars through that site.
Find out who owns it… or rents it… and look for the money. Gotta be somewhere.

Too bad DTF still robbing and kicking down the doors of residents for marijuana, I thought we legalized it. Guess it wasnt legalization afterall, just a scam to tax and steal from cannabis farmers. What corruption!

Pain medicine is legal under the right circumstances, doesn’t mean I can start hoarding them and selling them out of my house and sending them across the country for sale. Fuck off

Anymore, the cannabis is the front for getting on to your property & uncovering lots of other Code Violations…the kind that are in the Safe Homes Act, coming due in 2022… Pick up the packet for it at the local county offices. Take it seriously!

So cannabis enforcement and the property rights violations are really just making normal the government coming onto our private property and telling us what to do. Figures, first they violate rights of cannabis farmers then its everybody else they target, Which side are you on, the governments, or the communities….
