Humboldt County Passes 500 Case Mark With Five New Cases Reported Today, September 25
Press release from Humboldt County COVID19 – Joint Information Center:
Five new cases of COVID-19 were reported today, bringing to 501 the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus.
Humboldt County Deputy Health Officer Dr. Josh Ennis reminded residents that the potential for exponential virus growth remains the biggest concern. “What we know is that COVID-19 is going to be here for quite some time, and our county’s response is really about protecting the entire community,” he said.

🕯🌳The bad thing is the spread is coming from social events and not from what will be closed down if the trend continues. Bars,Salons,Gyms and other small businesses will suffer because people wanted to have their personal social events.
So maybe end the restrictions and let humans do as they will…
Oh yeah, that worked really well late spring and summer when we lifted restrictions and there were thousands at the beach and bars with few if any wearing masks. If letting people do what they want means infecting others with covid then I’m sure you agree its a bad idea. On the other hand if stupid behavior hadn’t taken hold thru out the US and people did wear masks and social distance and avoid crowds late spring and summer we may have avoided a second wave. Too late now. Now we gots to worry about a third wave that will probably hit at the same time flu season hits. And it won’t disappear on Nov 4th.

Quite a few counties don’t enforce masks, shasta hardly any masks in that county. Shasta county has accepted the fact that you aren’t going to hide from COVID-19. Plan on getting the corona ,nothing gonna stop it.

How many of the total positive tests were people that are asymptomatic ?
I know 4 people in this state that I’m pretty close with but don’t see maybe but once a year that have tested positive but didn’t have any symptoms.
Zero new deaths. No change in number of hospitalizations. Active cases up 4 to 21.

My god, it will only take 17 years for everyone in the us to get infected with covid at that rate
But the vaccine will be here on the 15th year, all good. Lock downs don’t matter for the people living on us , I mean the government.
This half assed suppressing it somewhat but not enough just keeps the pandemic going. It is a political choice that simply can not work until a vaccine is developed that is safe enough to save those who kept themselves from infection or the virus spontaneously mutates into something more treatable. And all the hostile blaming and nagging and mean glee when someone gets infected because they wouldn’t toe the line won’t change ineffectiveness of the love of sniping at their fellow citizens. It is irrational because what the naggers want won’t get them the results they think it will and they refuse to admit that they can’t have spent years creating a divisive atmosphere and suddenly get wide unity to create safety from the infection and are so fond of their bitter grousing that they are actually happy with the opportunity to increase their expresses of outrage.
