A Humboldt County resident in their 60s has died after being diagnosed with COVID-19. This marks the seventh death related to COVID-19 in the county.
Humboldt County Health Officer Dr. Teresa Frankovich sent her condolences to the family. “My heart goes out to friends and family members who are mourning this loss,” she said.
Six new cases of COVID-19 were reported today, bringing to 496 the total number of county residents who have tested positive for the virus.

It means, according to the CDC, if you die from an ailment and have tested positive for the wu hu. In other words, they say .06% only have died directly from the wu hu. So, 200,000 tested positive that have died, 12,000 was directly from the wu hu and not some OTHER medical condition.

Here is the deal researcher, either all of medical records are confidential or nothing is confidential. Cause of death needs to list all causes or nothing, pretty simple. All medical is either confidential or its transparent during tragic time. Otherwise impartial data will be continued to be torn apart

LR, I have no problem with disclosure and even suggested it be done in the early days. What I have a problem with is people trying to analyze the cause of death in a few isolated cases in an isolated area and try to and show that Covid is no big deal while at the same time marginalizing the suffering that is taking place. Does it really matter if someone is diabetic or obese or seriously ill fighting cancer. Covid removed their hope of surviving whatever they are going thru. And if Covid turns an ugly head in the days to come and starts to kill randomly like the SF did in the second wave, does that make those deaths more acceptable, more worthy of our concern.
Most of the underlying conditions that cause covid to become lethal are obesity, diabetic, old age and fighting a serious illness. Do we say that its a bummer obese, diabetic and old folks are dying cause they wouldn’t be dead otherwise but those folks with cancer (like me) are on their way out anyway so who cares. I’m fighting like hell to stay alive while frantically trying to finish projects in case I don’t, but if I caught covid you can kiss my ass goodbye and it would break my heart to think someone might say….’yeah, but he was gonna probably die anyway’.
That is data that needs to be shared, otherwise high risk people don’t have a clue and are jeopardizing their life everyday even though they mask and distance. Stupid not to make all medical records public, why are they confidential, I could careless if mine is public. Someone got something to hide? Because their embarrassed or might get treated differently, tough, make them public and stop the senseless dying. Give the high risk a fighting chance and quit keeping important information for all confidential. What a joke .
