From what he said he was wearing a GoPro which is worn on your head and it takes pictures of everything that goes on a lot of motorcycle riders and Racers use them…. awesome shots though and thanks for doing it Gasquet Mike!

Thanks for the update on Smith River area. Had a lovely drive up 199 to Cave Junction, Oregon and over Greyback Road to Happy Camp right before the Slater Fire. Rare Brewers Spruce are only found on this road to HC and China. Drops down to the Indian Creek watershed. Great time snorkeling and swimming the cold, clear waters of the Smith and Indian Creek. Cannot fathom the devastation of this beautiful region of the Klamath National Forest and the town. But grateful for the Smith River not having too much fire damage.

Thanks for the video. I’m part of the family that lives “down there” off Or Mtn Rd… that was our home in progress. My parents have been there about 20 years, my partner and I relocated there to help my folks out as they’re getting older and to build a cedar cabin up in the back lot…. Just heartbreaking. But I appreciate this video because we have been evacuated in another state since the morning the fire hit our spot… haven’t been able to go back. Well…. *sigh*…. I dream of when it grows back. -Becca
