No proper land management has been done around Garberville in the last 30 years. Be very careful and prepare for the worst this dry Fall. You have been lucky so far but the dry fuels and brush is getting worse with every growing season.

We realize this fire issue was a big moment in your life, but why didn’t you park in the median away from the brush? You could have also driven into town and been on asphalt-no brush to burn. Now the fire is a bigger issue than your rig.

You fucking dip shit you’re not driving into town while your cars on fire and yeah going in the center divider would be a great idea but most people when they have seconds to decide they grab their valuables and get the fuck out of the burning vehicle dip shit.

Looks like a close one! Without CalFire and our Volunteers, G’ville might be in dire straits…
Thanks, folks.

You are the only smart one Kirby. The lights on the firetruck were overly bright from the darkened sky.

Thank you

August 29 is hardly an update – today is 9/13. My bro lives on a mountain top outside Garberville. I can’t get a fix on how close the fires are to him but I know he’s on stand by alert to evacuate. No phone accessible either.
