The Clarke Historical Museum is Turning 60

This is a press release from the Clarke Historical Museum:

August 21th, 2020 marks the Clarke Historical Museum’s 60th year in the Eureka Bank Building, and we’d like you all to help us celebrate.

In honor of the occasion, the Clarke is having a birthday party the week of August 17. We’ll be hosting a scavenger hunt taking you to historic places around the county, videos accessible through social media and our website, and an outstanding online auction with great prizes from generous local businesses and business owners including Dead Reckoning, The Boardroom, Humboldt Distillery, Many Hands Gallery, Humboldt Bay Coffee Company, Just My Type Letterpress and many more. See our website for more information www.clarkemuseum.org/birthday-week

We’ll also be holding a fundraising drive throughout the week. We’re hoping to raise at least $10,000 with this fundraiser to make up for income lost during the prolonged closures. All funds raised go towards our mission of celebrating the rich and varied history of Northwestern California by preserving, sharing, and interpreting that history in ways that increase knowledge, enrich the spirit, engage the mind, and stimulate the imagination. Donations can be mailed in to the museum at 240 E Street, Eureka, CA 95501 or submitted through Paypal on our website or Facebook.
