‘Building Citizen Engagement with Climate Change’ Zoom Presentation on August 3rd

This is a press release from the 350 Humboldt:

Ever want to talk to people about climate change but fear it will become an argument?

Tune into Zoom on Monday, August 3 at 7:00 p.m. for Building Citizen Engagement with Climate Change.” Communication researcher Connie Roser-Renouf will talk about how people can discuss climate change and try to solve the problem. She’ll draw on data about climate change attitudes among Humboldt residents.

Dr. Roser-Renouf is a retired professor from the Center for Climate Change Communication at George Mason University. She currently teaches an online course on communicating climate change for health professionals through Yales School of Public Health.

The presentation is produced by 350 Humboldt and co-sponsored by the Climate Action Campaign of the Humboldt Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, Coalition for Responsible Transportation Priorities, Environmental Protection Information Center, and 11th Hour.

Math was never your good topic(?) because it shows. What a line of BS and all of us reading these posts know it.

Both you and Willie are incorrect. According to Climate.gov, “Human activities emit 60 or more times the amount of carbon dioxide released by volcanoes each year. Large, violent eruptions may match the rate of human emissions for the few hours that they last, but they are too rare and fleeting to rival humanity’s annual emissions. In fact, several individual U.S. states emit more carbon dioxide in a year than all the volcanoes on the planet combined do.” https://www.climate.gov/news-features/climate-qa/which-emits-more-carbon-dioxide-volcanoes-or-human-activities#:~:text=Human%20activities%20emit%2060%20or,to%20rival%20humanity's%20annual%20emissions.

Ullr, that site rates very low for facts. https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/real-climate-science/ “Overall, we rate Real Climate Science a Quackery level pseudoscience website as well as a moderate conspiracy website based on promoting that the solutions for climate change lead to communism. We also rate them Low for factual reporting due to failed fact checks and a complete rejection of the consensus of science in regards to human-influenced climate change.”

I know. I just don’t believe the metric you’re using. ‘Take on the information and conclude for yourself’ is his model versus ‘believe what we say’… I know which side I am more interested in looking in to.

Okay, look into the facts for yourself…

On one side we have the vast majority of scientists and institutions whose reputations rest on providing solid facts and whose reputations are excellent. And the one link you offer to support your contention is from a site that is generally considered trash–a snake oil site

To me, that’s roughly like talking to five reputable neighbors each explaining how they saw a car drive up your driveway but taking the word of your tweeker friend who swears it was aliens in a space ship.

I mean…he could be right I suppose but don’t you think you’re putting your money on the wrong horse?

Take in the information below and conclude for yourself…or don’t.

No skin off my nose as my dad used to say.

In 30 years renewable energy grew from 1% to 4% of global energy, and will go up to 15% of global energy by 2040. The number is a mere 4% because electricity is only 20% of total global energy use. Emissions went up 50% in 30 years. 99% of animals from 10,000 years ago are gone. Humans and livestock are 96% of mammals. There are 25 billion chickens on earth. Only 4% of mammals are wild. In 30 years one third of wild animals are gone and that will double in 20 years. Then mass extinction hits runaway and can’t be stopped or reversed.

100% private carbon wealth quarterly tax UBI dividends = climate justice

4% of mammals are wild + 4% of global energy is renewable
There will never be a 100% vegan green energy world, ever.
Some ideas are so stupid only intellectuals believe them.
If you think how stupid the average American is, just remember 50% of them are even stupider.
50% rise in emissions in last 30 years + 30% rise in 15 years
Net Zero =100% bullshit, we stop burning 50% of fuel in 10 years or die

soy and corn are gene modded to survive the poisons that kill birds, bugs, fish, frogs & plants
soy and corn are treated with petrochemicals and nano particles for market
soy and corn are wrapped in gender bending containers for shipping
then we eat it – get sick – and buy medicine from the same people.

Apparently volcanic eruption may be the key to ending global warming. Perhaps we should be injecting sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere to promote Cooling.. It could be mixed in with the aluminum oxide and barium salts they are using presently.
