Finally a road map for getting your permit after almost 4 years?!? Our county leadership and planning department has to be one of the most inept in the state. Of course the workshop will need to be updated every time john ford pulls another rabbit out of his ass!

Ya sure just as soon as the county planners pull it out of their butts and actually do some permitting… Some of us have been waiting with everything done for 8months. Another season gone, paid the deposit waiting, waiting waiting!

They need to pull some more employees out of their butts. Does anyone know how many permits and how many employees at the Planning dept there are handling the permit case load?

Do you have an interim from the county? You do know very few have an annual permit are are absolutely crushing it with impunity?

Yep, and even when the county knows they may get around to stopping it……or not. Their choice.
County complicit in allowing non METRC plants to be harvested and sold on black market. It’s amazing to watch.

Every single “permitted” farm around me is 100% black market. There is absolutely ZERO chance for all of these farms to be successful in the rec market. It’s is factually impossible. Only about 5% play the rec game and even those farms sell most black market. What’s going to happen and is happening is these farms are stacking major cash right now while only paying the permit fee and county tax. When, well if they are ever forced to sell rec market only, they will all be out of business. Simply put, the rec market does NOT exist for most of these farms. They will NEVER get any shelf space, whether white label or their own brand. It’s amazing to watch this unfold. Every single farm around me operates as if it’s still 1999, except they now have huge egos and attitudes because they know they will not get busted. Even with all of this money they have, they still don’t do shit to help fix and maintain our neighborhood roads. It’s ok kids, the adults who don’t have the cash you do will continue to put what little money we have and our time into maintaining the roads you tear up. Try staying on the farm for a whole day without running to town and buying more shit.

I hear you. It’s all a joke. Farm near me in third year of production. Still not in METRC, about ready to harvest its deps. Not a care in the world. Total black market hiding behind a permit.

It doesn’t have a State permit, that’s for sure.

Every year I have to pay the entire road bill even though there are two weed farms on my road. The owners don’t live here and don’t maintain the road at all. You’d think there would be some kind of requirement with their permit to pay the road bill or maintain the road.

I’m glad things worked out on your busy road. There will soon be three farms on my small road. The permit says they live on site which the employees don’t. My attempts to deal with the planning department on some much more serious safety issues in which people were hurt have been ignored. As someone at CLMP said the department is revenue driven. The planner on the project never returns my correspondence, it’s been a waste of my time, nothing has changed so I will just fix the road myself.

Most Farms in neighborhoods don’t give a flying fuck about the neighbors. And the County sanctions their abuse, my guess is because they are getting fees. What makes the County think that anyone wants a grow next door in a residential neighborhood? Hate to say it but the vast majority of permitted grows are a pain in the ass unless they’re tucked away on some substantial acerage.

Look up the ca code. You can force them to pay road maintenance costs. If you’re willing to lawyer up.

So wow you got your permit!
Is this a silly question? I’d like to SEE
what a permit looks like,
is it like one piece of paper that you hang on
your (multiple) greenhouse door?
what does it say on top?
SHOW ME YOUR PERMIT!
(black out the bullshit)
i will keep asking this…

county pay needs to be tied to permits issued and not the process.

A lot of farm owners are not skilled in hill life and don’t know how to maintain roads. They act like Caltrans is going to come out and fix it. They run in and out all day. The worse is all the workers with 2 wheel drive cars that waffle board the road. Good example of ignorance is bliss.
