Humboldt Superior Court Encourages Videoconferencing for Hearings

Superior Court of California County of HumboldtNotice to Public about 8:00 a.m. Arraignments in Courtroom #8

If you have received a notice for an 8:00 a.m. arraignment in Courtroom #8 for a date on or after July 6, 2020, please be advised as follows:

1. The Court will be calling these calendars as scheduled. Please check the Court calendar on the Court’s website at https://www.humboldt.courts.ca.gov/. Calendars are posted at 4 p.m. the day prior to scheduled hearings.

2. The Court strongly encourages a remote videoconference appearance for any scheduled hearings and recommends downloading the Zoom app on your phone or computer for ease in participation. The Zoom hearing link for Department/Courtroom 8 is as follows: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88208057353. If you have an attorney, please contact your attorney. If you represent yourself, please plan on a remote videoconference.

3. Remote videoconference appearances are preferred and encouraged. If any appearance is made in person, facial coverings are required as well as social distancing. Please do not bring non-party participants to the courthouse.

4. The Court is available to answer questions related to court dates via phone at (707)445-7256 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Thank you for the heads up Kym!!! Is this true for all hearings ? Mine is at 8:30 I cannot recall what room. Can I call the same number?

Court 8 will hear the arraignment and second hearing of misdemeanors. They get lots of DUIs. If the case doesn’t settle in the first couple of hearings they will transfer it to the courtrooms that handle on-going cases.
