Send out the felons with shovels! Haha. I for one am sick to death of people who do not care enough about them selves or their family’s enough to take good health care of them selves, not expose one self to smoke for instance or even volunteer to join the service? I talk to these poor guys and here how terrible it was, and I say wow? You volunteer for this! Dumb.. people take care of your health its more important than a paycheck or prestige or what the hell ever you firefighters get off on, im not impressed.

We have a winner, folks!

2020’s Most Horrific Comment of The Year.

(So far, at least…)

Yes, it is hard to believe, UP – but you’ve clinched it, despite the plethora of competition.

Congratulations! Come on down, Mr/Mrs/Ms/Miss/Mx Philistine, you’re about to play…

“RHBB Troll Of The Day”

Here on July the first of 2020… We’re all very excited to see if you can live up to the standards set by our more recent champions, “Guest” and “Fan Of Guest” (who, by the way, is following in the footsteps of luminaries seen and/or reported on here in the past, such as “The Honeydew Bridge Troll” and “Wade Harris”.)

(The edited punchline was particularly funny, but also apparently line-crossing. Sorry Kym, I’ll try harder next time.)

I for one am grateful that people want to be firefighters and many other high risk jobs/careers that help us to thrive as a society.

Wondering if you would change your tune if a fireline was headed to your house.

You’re not from here obviously. The Netflix documentary is an accurate example and you should stay far away.

As I said you ain’t from here. Hunting deer out here is basically a trip to your porch. Next time use Bears and you might be more believable.

As far as your dope pusher comment, yep, that be I for 35+ years. Better than those pills your popping i’ll say.

Go the way of the dodo please, good ridance. Shame on you. Hunting is about getting out exploring new places not just meat, you sir are most likely a felon. Pitiful you are. Oh yeah my druggs are better then the drugs other people like, what a tool.

Fuck!?
I thought people gave up sniffing glue in the 80’s…
You, my friend need to thank the gods that you live in a country that holds freedom so dear, that even a special person like you, who employs very special qualifiers, and uses an extra special way of thinking, as well as a super special way of communicatinig such a special viewpoint can feel safe in knowing that those folks, whom you believe are after “prestige”, whom you took time out of your day to call dumb, will still endeavor to protect your house, when it is threatened by fire. Next time though(if there is one), I bet you’re gonna be born in someplace just as special, if not more, as you are.

Let it burn! I prefer self rescue! Have you met the people from your community that are doing this work? The volunteers are pitifully ill prepared for anything except compounding existing injuries! Cdf has positions all the time for my career path! Think i want to eat smoke and hang out with criminals? Come on. Nature rules let it burn. Move along to the city where a phone will save you.

A Chinook came into Weaverville airport about 45 mins after the first call from the west, I haven’t seen any other aircraft fly over the weaver basin. Looks like the fire is on the west side of Canyon Creek just south of Grasshopper flat from the point on NCWG. I don’t see any structures near the point, but my imagery is from 2018.

A spot like that and they may just funnel it into the wilderness and spend the summer “managing” it.

I think they have no idea what to do, because covid. It’s a ton of extra logistics. If it’s going to threaten structures, they are going to try and stomp it on initial attack, especially calfire, if it’s headed towards the wilderness, it’s gonna be “managed”, but than again, they want to minimize smoke. They definitely don’t want to set up a densely populated fire camp. Interesting times. 2 of calfires engines returned back to the highway 3 station around 7pm, so thats probably a good sign.

You definitely want Calfire on the initial attack. Their approach is to put it out… but if it slops into wilderness Calfire can’t do much.
