Armed Robbery at Market in Trinidad

A little after 10 p.m., dispatchers sent CHP and Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies to the scene of an armed robbery in progress at a market on Westhaven Drive in Trinidad.

The suspect, a white male adult in a grey sweatshirt with a mask carrying a black semi automatic handgun, fled the scene on foot heading westbound carrying an unknown amount of money. It is believed he got in a white Chevy pickup and headed southbound on Hwy 101.

Law enforcement is searching the area.
