[UPDATE 11:03 p.m.] Fire Near Redwood Acres

Just before 10:25 p.m., an emergency dispatcher sent multiple fire crews to what was first reported to be a structure fire at Redwood Acres.

One of the first firefighters on scene reports over the scanner that there is a “large fire to the rear of the horse stalls.”

The next part was garbled but it sounds like that there is a stump or tree on fire.

Firefighters are going to have to use the McKay Tract to hike in, the Incident Commander reports.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

UPDATE 10:45 p.m.: Power lines are near the fire, according to one of the firefighters speaking over the scanner. The crews are still hiking in.

UPDATE 11:03 p.m.: The Incident Commander reports that crews have found a 30 foot snag on fire. He’s requesting a hand crew and additional equipment.
