[UPDATE: Video Clip] Convoy in Rancho Sequoia Area
This afternoon the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office headed into the Rancho Sequoia area (sometimes called Murder Mountain) in southeastern Humboldt with pickup trucks, SUV’s, and a Kabota tractor.
“Half went to the top and then half went to lower road,” a local resident told us about 1:30 p.m. “15 rigs, mostly sheriff SUV [and pickups]. [U]nmarked white SUV s, Big ass kabota!”
We had received second hand reports of the convoy being in the Alderpoint area since early this morning. This is the eyewitness we spoke to though.
We’ve requested more information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office.

What is the kabota most likely used for I wonder?
Kubota =Dig hole/ bury weed
Did it have a brush hog attached to it?
Tearing shit up.
Sometimes a tree is fell across a road or road cut out to block access and give time to grab and run
Morons still grow up there?
Yep. There and the pines. I’m sure it seemed like a good idea to be around other growers in close proximity, but all you’ve done is made it easier for LEO to come through and bust all of you. Oh well, they still have around 2 months for veg if they replant immediately. Not going to stop anything at all.
Bulls on parade!
Did the thieves with the kabota have permits to do the grading?
Under 50 yards they dont need to have permits.
Wow hcso is this the best you can do? What about the staffing shortage? I guess the other police departments “epd”-“apd” can pick up the slack. While you were cutting weed down epd caught a cereal killer. What a hollow excuse for a police force hcso is. Corrupted by the alure of theivery.
r.i.p. captain crunch and count chocula
Hahaha oh man. So perfect. Well played sir
Yes!
I must admit I’ve killed my share of Lucky Charms. Every box had it coming though.
At least our cereal is safe now.
I will have dinner with a cereal killer, but never breakfast!
Different funding. The funding for the convoy most likely comes from cultivation tax, state license fees,, LSAA or water board fees paid by legal cultivators. An allotted % will go to restricted funds only allowed to support enforcement. Because they are restricted they can not be moved to to the general fund or other departments without a public vote. So don’t expect the enforcement to let up anytime soon. This summer should be interesting.
Where do we vote for a 1verifiable, 2uncorrupted by corporate looters, 3legitimate: election system?
The convoy just headed down steelhead in AP around 5pm
15 trucks and a kubota
Thank you.
Hi Kym I am new to the area and really enjoy your page, out of curiosity why do you post about these convoys?
This is how it works: These convoy posts provide community members with the reassurance that someone is watching law enforcement to ensure that rules are followed, warns of traffic impacts (large convoys on rural roads can cause problems) and (this one isn’t a popular reason with some but it works like this) like the simple presence of a patrol car, the post spreads a sense that law enforcement is working at eradicating–thus actually adding to their influence. It is impossible to bust every grow. Some of what law enforcement wants is to push other growers out of the business because the growers are afraid of being the next cultivator busted.
I also want to add that the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has reached out to me several times to let me know that they were going after a suspect not a pot garden and asked me to not post about their movements that specific day because suspects unlike gardens can flee. I always honor their requests–I live in this area, too, and want a safe community.
I have always been mixed about the posts….on one hand they allow us to see the removal of lost of illegally grown weed. More importantly it shows every time, every time the destruction that these grows do to our environment. Major damage to the soil, creeks, rivers, wildlife, and the damage it sows in our communities.
The bad thing I see is it gives the opportunity for the masses of delinquent southern Humboldt crowd to continue to romanticize and trivialize the growing of the weed. This allows us as a community to not get past this old thought of growing weed aint bad. It was not bad 30-40- years ago, but all that has changed.
Just like there are bad cops and bad teachers, there are bad growers. Unfortunately, it’s hard to get good growers to let themselves be featured.
Daniel and Taylor Stein are some of my heroes. https://kymkemp.com/2019/11/03/briceland-forest-farm-a-late-july-visit/

My son’s farm in the photo below is lovely and there are many more.
Do you know who it was or what for?
They must pack a lunch.
Donuts
new Kubota that’s funny pretty sure they broke the other one last year on a farm but didn’t say anything about it cuz they left oil all the way down the road in the creek and up the other side of the road nobody heard anything about that though. they’re going to kill the county
Interesting im trying to see this year hope to meet some good people
