COVID-19 Community Based Testing Expanding to Trinity County
Press release from Trinity County Health and Human Services:
Trinity County Health and Human Services (HHS) Public Health Branch (PHB) has partnered with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Testing Task Force and Verily Life Sciences to bring community-based mobile COVID-19 testing to Trinity County. The drive-thru mobile testing sites will be located in specific areas within Trinity County two (2) days each week for four (4) weeks to ensure broad testing access for all Trinity County residents. The first drive-thru testing sites will be placed this week, according to the following schedule:
Thursday, June 4th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Trinity County Fair Grounds, 6000 Hwy 3, Hayfork
Friday, June 5th, 10:00 am – 4:00 pm at Trinity Alps Performing Arts Center, 101 Arbuckle Court, Weaverville
The additional sites with dates, times and locations, for the remainder of the drive-thru testing schedule over the next three (3) weeks will be announced in the near future.
Starting today, individuals can complete the online registration process, which includes creating a Google (“Gmail”) email account, completing the screening form and a short health insurance attestation. Verily will bill insurance for those that have healthcare coverage, there is no cost to the individual for testing whether or not they have health insurance. Once completed, individuals can make an appointment online using the Baseline COVID-19 Program appointment scheduling system found on our trinitycounty.org website or at www.projectbaseline.com/COVID19.
This is a free testing service, and its purpose is to protect the public health and safety of our communities by allowing for increased surveillance of disease activity in Trinity County and
ensure broad access to testing for all of our residents in Trinity County. Eligibility for free testing is as follows:
persons must be 18 years of age or older
Electronically complete the Screening Form
Sign the COVID-19 Public Health Authorization form and Lab consent. All client information is kept confidential under the law.

Is this the test with a swab up the nose said to be longer than your little finger?
YES… A NASAL SWAB UNCOMFORTABLE but does not hurt. It is over quickly.
