Brandy Morton Joins Coast Central Credit Union as Controller

Coast Central Credit Union announced that Brandy Morton has joined the organization as Controller in its Accounting Department, reporting to VP Chief Financial Officer Fred Moore.  Michael Burghart, current Controller, will be retiring next month.

Morton comes to the organization with 15 years of related experience with the Hoopa Valley Tribe, primarily in its Fiscal Department, serving as Chief Financial Officer for the last five years.  Her expertise spans oversight of day to day operations while adhering to Federal, State, and Tribal regulations; monthly and annual budgets; financial analysis, purchase order and payroll processing; general ledger management; financial compliance audits; and more.

A Humboldt County native and enrolled member of the Hoopa Valley Tribe, Morton is a Hoopa High School and Humboldt State University graduate, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and emphasis in Accounting.  She lives in Hoopa with her husband and they have three children, a son and two grown daughters who are both police officers.  Morton and her family enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors.

I know her personally and her work history. My life savings is in Coast Central Credit Union and I am truly scared for the security of my funds. I think CCCU made a huge mistake.
