- Six water diversion violations (up to $8,000 fine per day, per violation)
- Three water pollution violations (up to $20,000 fine per day, per violation)
- Commercial cannabis ordinance violations (up to $10,000 fine per day)
Additional violations with civil fines are expected to be filed by the assisting agencies.

That field looks tiny mom and pop style
Not only no pay day for that crop but fines too! Way to go!
Alf. That’s a minimum of 250k in plants alone! Between set up, paid workers and land lease they were a half million deep. Than again 30,000 lbs is 30 million min. You can spot that from the space station, let alone any other surveillance. Donkeys.
Fines???? What the F#@$!!! They won’t be able to pay these fines… Going to loose their land… Period, told you all long ago.
That field looks like the governments is over reaching, killing a plant that helps patients. Greed from the gov to the grower no one cares about the patients that are missing out on there medicine. Now we got to go to the D TO GET ROBBED ON QUALITY AND PRICE. The patients ends up paying way more for meds when cannabis is taxed every time it’s touched. Tax on square foot ,tax on water, tax on process, tax on tax, tax on sale, tax on retail sale, tax on your profits, tax the land, tax the nutrients, tax tax tax tax tax tax tax. Nothing changed from Hearst, tax tax tax tax , over tax it no one will be able to afford it. California is over taxing everything from our food TO fuel to cannabis
just to make the cannabis industry pay for the mismanagement of California starting here in Humboldt the highest food and fuel prices in the USA
The fines go away and nobody takes your land for growing these days . Have had a more than a couple abatement letters come my way.
The bank can take it for not paying a mortgage though. And if you want to “legalize “ said garden you just got caught with (I don’t know why you would) then the county will juice you for all you got for the possibility of that opportunity, but it’s cheaper to just get another piece of property and then you have tangible equity that you can trust, not some promissory note from a county infamous for its internal corruption.
Be a good steward of the land and you will do quite well. Spread the wealth locally and we all do well.
I like the fact the plants are actually planted in the ground.
Lots of kudos for no plastic pots or grow bags.
Real farming.
Agreed. There oughta be lots more growing like that. They got busted for the usual BS water violations, but will they get any good points for greatly reducing plastic waste and growing like actual farmers? Of course not.
Willi? Want to take bet?
😂 that they were not from the us of a
damn, is that a record?
🕯🌳They were babies, there killing babies. 🐸🌍🕊🖖
Dumbist thing you ever thought…
Forgive my ignorance, but why would they plant those so tightly packed? Seems like if they were spaced out more with room to grow they could get the same yield from far fewer plants.
Cuz more is better.
Autoflower. Those plants were likely planned to be harvested in about 7 or 8 weeks, looking for 2-4 oz per plant, maybe less. Probably 50%-75% goes straight to extract, only the top buds are trimmed and sold
Kinda makes the sensational plant count a bit of a lark, but I bet they were shooting for 2 or 3 tonnes minimum
Interesting. I haven’t seen that before.
Late start on the year, maybe 1/3 lbs. Per plant… That’s, 3000lbs. of crappy dirt weed no one wants to trim, sell or buy…. Just sad.
Late? You new around here? We used to say knee high by the fourth of July (with a month to go they will get that high) by October, they will reach the elephants eye.
99…or stop that shxx
Your apparently unaware of an outdoor sea of green
Prove it’s not hemp!

Math has never been one of my strong points but I come up with a little under 20,000 pounds which is conservatively at least $10 million.
That’s only 58,392 more than I’m growing.
HAh! That’s awesome
That’s a violation, of your probation.
And that’s how it is now….You can be on probation, grow over 58,000 plants, commit environmental crimes and all that happens is you get cited and released on site in your garden. To go get some more plants quick! The fines are attached to the land- whose owner might not even know this is happening- not attached to the people growing these plants. The land will now be grown on forever because it can’t be sold or developed with those heavy fines attached. The county is basically designating parcels like this as “perpetual grow parcels”. Are we winning that war on drugs yet? Ha Ha!
Don’t tell on yourself, who cares. ? The world is going to shit,,!
I agree, pictures or it didnt happen
They could just go back annually to all the places they bust. Talk about job security! Once the fines are attached to the property the property loses any value EXCEPT as a grow piece. They can’t take away the sun or the soil or the water or gravity. The fencing remains and usually the waterline too. What could possibly happen there next? Umm…somebody puts in more plants! So yeah- why would anybody not keep growing? Same weed war. As Mendo Mama says Always Evolving Never Resolving…Their only way to beat it is to destroy the market by oversupply – but now they have created a tax base of permit pansies so Ha Ha Ha!!
“ garden “
Lol
I would say anything under 1000 square ft is ma and pa. You can make a pretty damn good living with that amount of square footage
Don’t know who you been talking to, but weed is a precious commodity right now, both legal and illegal .
Hey False Fry. Good question.. but find your own handle.. I would also say it’s your growing style, and not just the size for number of plants.. If I had to put a size or number of plants.. would say under 2500 sq ft would be super small, and have fairly small impact. Even 5000 sq ft is still small, and definitely craft.. 1000 sq ft is probably challenging to make anything off of.. I would say 1000 Sq ft is straight medical.. 10,000 square sound like a lot.. but it’s only 1/4 of an acre. That’s probably why the regs word it like that to make it sound like such a huge deal.. Number of plants.. depends on what style, it’s everything in between. You could fit 1000 plants into 2500 square ft for sure. But not 1000 full term large plants.. maybe 50 large.. but that would be pretty packed… As with most things Cannabis in my eyes.. it’s quirky. The regulations in Cali are not sensible.
It’s most likely an Oil field and it’s really no different from what this Farmer in Oregon is doing.. raising Cannabis for extract companies.. “legally”
The $25 Dollar pound…

If you look closer at the first picture though, the plants are actually in potting soil in the ground I believe. The second picture looks almost like a different technique and is probably in furrows..
I mean I Don’t like seeing this much Cannabis because I know it will flood the market.. but other than that.. how’s this different than what any other farmer would do? If Cali.. would just truly “legalize” it and get rid of this “quasi” legalization.. so ridiculous.
