Two Protests Over the Death of George Floyd in Humboldt County Today

Justice for George Floyd

Image from the Facebook post of Humboldt Grassroots calling for the Eureka protest at 3 p.m.

Two separate groups will gather in Humboldt County today to protest the killing of George Floyd, Monday in Minneapolis, Minnesota by four city police officers. Floyd’s death, captured on video, caused outrage and sparked riots including several in major cities for several days. Last night, protests had spread across the nation from Atlanta to L.A.  One man was killed in Detroit, buildings were set on fire in Minneapolis, and two protesters were injured when an SUV appeared to deliberately strike them in San Jose.

All four of the officers involved in the death of George Floyd have been fired. One has been arrested and charged with third degree murder and manslaughter.

Calls for a protest in Garberville are circulating on social media. “There will be a protest at 12:30 in the center of Garberville, at the clock,” reads one. “George Floyd was brutally murdered by a police officer in Minneapolis and the outrage has permeated the community and beyond. Demonstrations, sometime violent, are happening across the country. To join ours come to the clock at 12:30.”

Farther north in the county, Humboldt Grassroots has called in a post on Facebook for the community to join them in a protest at 3 p.m. at the Eureka Courthouse. The protest event page states, “This demonstration is in solidarity of everyone who has experienced harm and loss due to police violence, everyone who is vulnerable to being victimized by the police, and everyone for whom the U.S. legal system has failed to deliver justice.”

As of 7 a.m., the event notes that 376 have said they are going and 984 are interested.

Below is the statement in full posted on the event page:

HUMBOLDT COUNTY COURTHOUSE

SOCIAL DISTANCE DEMONSTRATION

STAND WITH MINNEAPOLIS:
JUSTICE FOR GEORGE FLOYD

In consideration of our community’s health and safety in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, please wear a mask and keep appropriate distance from other demonstrators. It’s alright if the demonstration needs to stretch up the block and beyond.

As righteous outrage spreads across the country and the globe over the brutal and unjustified murder of George Floyd by members “killers-at-large” of the Minneapolis Police Department, the people of Humboldt will gather to show solidarity and support for the Floyd Family and the folks taking action in Minneapolis.

Truly, police brutality is experienced by people in every place that police exist, and across the U.S., Black people and other people of color are disproportionately victimized and murdered by police. This demonstration is in solidarity of everyone who has experienced harm and loss due to police violence, everyone who is vulnerable to being victimized by the police, and everyone for whom the U.S. legal system has failed to deliver justice.

Join us, as we endeavor to proclaim and demand that our world be free from the oppression, anxiety, fear, and hopelessness that this violent, racist, and murderous system imposes on us.

Bring bullhorns, bring drums, bring signs, bring your friends and neighbors, because what happened in Minneapolis could happen here, has happened here, and will happen here again and in other places so long as we remain silent and submissive.

No Justice, No Peace.

Yes, I understand there was three…two on his back, one on his neck. So, so sad and cruel. Purposeful, murder.

Agreed it was a “purposeful murder”. There’s more to this story than rogue cops offing a guy because he’s Black. Derek Chauvin and George Floyd knew each other. They worked over a year, at the same time, and at the same nightclub in S/E Minneapolis called the El Nuevo Rodeo as security guards. Have you seen a single reference to that in the MSM? I’m no journalist, but that’s a fact I’d follow up like an Arkansas hound dog.

Yes ive seen it its on national news. Not hidden.
If you read what the owner said, they crossed paths on Tuesdays when all security guards worked due to large crowds. She said she wasn’t aware of them knowing one another. But goes to show who George was and on some level that the cop killed one of his own.
Isnt it more interesting that an active duty cop uses his off time to play security guard, an easy position to be an abuser.
His wife filed for divorce, usually these characters are domestic abusers so maybe shes finally free.
When they tried to pass regs years ago to limit those guilty of domestic abuse in owning guns they couldn’t pass it as over 50% of offenders were leos.

Read about net neutrality and why youll get different results for the same search in different search engines.

If anyone does go to a protest with potential teargas, bring vinegar and put it on your bandana that goes over your face, itll cut the tear gas. Trust me vinegar smells way better than tear gas.
Pepper spray best easy off is liquid antacid and yogurt.
You can find online the results of many tests done by medical activist collectives after WTO to see what helped the best with pepper spray. The nerve gas is really hard to get off, they mixed it with teargas at WTO so watch out!

Good, I’m pleased to hear the MSM is at least mentioning that fact. What I want to hear from them is that they’re investigating the depth of their relationship if any exists. Did Mr. Floyd (from what I’ve read, he was a straight-up guy) know something about Chauvin that would implicate Chauvin in a crime? There’s more to this story than meets the eye. Wish I would of known about the vinegar when I went through basic training.

Being asked to wear a mask is a far cry from being killed by the police (aka the government) – do you really, truly, honestly believe that your supposed right to ignore public health advise is more important and more worthy of protest than George Floyd’s actual Constitutional rights to a fair trial, to be free from cruel and unusual punishment, to receive equal treatment under the law and, damnit, his very basic human right to live? And, besides, the protesters against pandemic policies have been allowed to protest. They have been allowed to carry weapons into government buildings. They have been allowed to say that slaves should be muzzled but white women should not have to wear cloth face masks. These protests have been allowed and encouraged – don’t you read these comment sections? Your supposed grievances are meaningless.

No one is arresting you nor do you face the potential of being killed for wearing a mask.
We wear masks for the same reason we dont smoke cigarettes inside, common courtesy for others health.

Ya go tell your theories to the family in del norte who got gave birth at the hospital and now they and their 19 day old baby have it from the obstetrics section. Im sure they want to hear about how fake it is.
Its not like people get better and are all good, it leaves lasting damage. People i know with it are taking 4-6 weeks to really feel better. All i can hope is you deniers get it, get sick quik and go away. Please dont utilize health care since its a fake ailment youllbe fine.

Personal freedoms??? So if I came into your biz buck naked smoking a joint youll protect my freedoms?
Im definitely not wearing shoes into stores these days either, no shirt no shoes no service violates my rights! !!! Why arent you standing up for those rights? ? If i wanna wave my big ole titties around in your store i have the right! !!
If you really mean what you say youll back me up! !! I wanna smoke anywhere i like even on planes and in restaurants and on your kids school bus. Why wont you stand up for the rights of smokers and nudists? ??? Hypocrites.

I guess I can urinate & defecate wherever I want, then… What’s your address, again?

Seriously, my dad (40 years ago) was yelled down by a couple of anti-Hispanics when my dad was speaking Spanish to me walking into a store… I’ve heard the same kind of hatred spewed towards other Hispanics, even toward things like businesses having signs & billboards in Spanish for customers who speak Spanish (even if they also speak English)…

If you’re so put off by public health efforts (meant to protect by mitigating the spread of a horrible virus), are you also put off by those trying to tell others what language they can use between themselves or in their business efforts?

Covid is a death sentence for “old people suffering pulmonary problems” Buddy! when you aren’t in public take the mask off! Those others must be wearing masks to help protect YOU. Masks being a bigger problem than this Corona virus is just nonsense repeated by folks trying to make this political. If a mask raises CO2 to dangerous levels, then humans would have been wiped out long ago[edit].

You’ll have to use your imagination as to what humans have been doing since long ago, that can lower your O2 -CO2 exchange for between 40 seconds and 40 min…. Daily if you are lucky!

Old people w/pulmonary problems don’t have to wear masks – tho’ I’m 77 with a tendency to get pneumonia, and it hasn’t hurt me yet. If it cut down my oxygen too much, I’d breathe faster to make it up, and that hasn’t happened yet.

There’s a difference between protesting and rioting, and there’s a difference between rioting and looting. I hope that the people figure this out and actually organize to have their voices and demands heard, the nation is with them but when you start looting you lose all the support that you have gained. Do you want to fight for social equality? Or do you want a big screen? Cause if you just want a big screen and to burn some buildings the National guard is going to show up and put a stop to your looting and nothing will change, their call.

So somehow history justifies rioting and looting? Sadly, a worthy cause is being overshadowed by such things. There’s a whole segment of the population that doesn’t give a shit about justice but sees protests as an opportunity to what they’d like to do full-time: loot, destroy, and do other thug things.

Most likely this rioting will force less government orders. Some thing more immediate to large cities than covid-19 has gained their attention and maybe they will think twice about the effects of locking down people’s jobs. This has hopefully shattered the sense of government control that decided that adding economic stress to pandemic stress would be a good thing. Maybe the press will tone down their rhetoric if they see a connection between what they say and what people will do.

The Minnesota governor is actively seeking the Antifa crowd, they have them on cameras, they tracked them in their cars, they are going after them. I bet there will be agents at the clock today. There are ways to notify the right agencies about even small gatherings like this. And are there going to be local people there to stop the Antifa clowns from damaging our town? And taking their pictures to turn them in to the agencies for processing. Don’t hurt our townspeople, don’t hurt our town.

There is an active theory that the first window smashed in MSP was broken by an off duty St. Paul cop. Maybe BS, maybe not. Sure enough, the photo of the window smasher does look a hell of a lot like the cop.

Conspiracy theory, maybe. But, as noted, it is a conspiracy theory borne out by the facts from previous similar events. Rogue actors or organized infiltrators, either way, can create the on the ground circumstances for cops to behave like the thugs they want to be. With all the authority and lawlessness that their badges give them.

My privilege lets me espouse these theories from a keyboard, instead of with a cop’s knee on my neck. But, I’d be all for smashing the system if the justice the system offered me was similar to what is normal when it comes to cop on black violence in this country. Amazing how things suddenly feel so elevated when the violence is directed at white owned property instead of black bodies.

They have agents who work for police departments who specifically try and infiltrate political groups who are against the status quo. I personally experienced this in Denver in 2002 while staging protests. We were approached by a “punk” looking twenty-something individual who claimed to want to join our group. Later that week, Denver police raided a house party of one of the known organizers the day before a scheduled protest. Arrested 15+ people so they wouldn’t be able to demonstrate the next day. We saw that “punk kid” the next day at the courthouse in dress clothes chatting comfortably with police and lawyers. Two weeks later, the FBI came to one of my friends house and threatened her and other protesters who were staying there. She was later interviewed by Larry King. This is not conspiracy. This happens all the time.

It happened here in Eureka, also.

About ten years ago, there were two different “Green Party” groups trying to organize in Eureka. One of them was legitimate. The other was a fake group, headed by a fake undercover, who wanted nothing more than to trick people into showing up, to gather their information, to infiltrate their circles, and to create chaos. I had to get tipped off by others who were privy to what was actually going on, and when I went home to investigate on the internet, I found two separate web-pages for each group claiming to be the real one.

There’s also footage on Twitter from the rally at Union Square in NY where they show undercover agitators, (dressed in plain-clothes), who are wearing white bandannas around their arms to code their identities among themselves and the cops.

And I saw it myself, too, when I was at the anti-war protests in LA in ’02 or ’03. There were agitators there, who no one knew, who were bat-shit crazy, and belligerent, and who were raising tension-levels to all-time highs… ultimately to endanger those of us who were there to demonstrate.

The whole under-cover saboteur in disguise thing is totally real, and par for the course. Thanks for sharing your experience, Just sayin’, although, what a shitty experience.

Thanks for sharing your experience as well. The bush administration was super scared about anti war protests in the early 2000s, and was extremely heavy handed. It is always important for counter culture groups to be aware of infiltrators and to take care of them internally.

What happened in Minneapolis to George Floyd was absolutely horrendous. BUT, another gathering of protesters at the Humboldt courthouse? Just don’t sit in the street, or block traffic, (or start fires and loot as has happened elsewhere). When any of that happens, I (and likely most people) lose all respect for the protesters’ cause, WHATEVER THE CAUSE.

Perhaps the people that built the stores in that community DID try to make a difference.

Protesters have every right to protest.

Looters and arsonists aren’t there because they care. They just see the opportunity for a new pair of Nikes, rip the pharmacy for some drugs, a bottle of booze, and a 60″ TV.

Then there are the paid agitators, most of whom wouldn’t know George Floyd pic . if it slapped them in their face.

The cops that murdered that man are the ones responsible … no one else,
and they will be held accountable.
The looters should be too.

There is no excuse for what happened to Floyd neither is there any excuse for burning down the services the community desperately needs, especially the elderly and disabled in that community.

True anarchy is the lack of chaos as most see it, anarchy is truly taking responsibility for your own actions in the scope of the greater society so that police and others are not needed.
Its not about creating chaos but creating stability. The fascists changed the meaning of anarchy to suit their purposes like in Spain when Catalonia was so independent.

If you havent experienced police brutality you wont get it. Theres only so much you can take.
Unfortunately no one pays attention unless shit gets crazy. This is far beyond just one incident its millions. People are angry. Theyre acting out. Its a lot of pent up agression.

I lived in LA as a teen and saw police beat the shit out of my friends starting at age 13. Nope im not of color i was a punk&they hated us too, or really just knew we were easy targets like people of color who were poor and not going to be believed in a court room. My work got destroyed in the riots there but I understood why. Yes it was scary but not too surprising, you could feel the pressure building. I hear LA has felt that way again in the last few years with the housing costs so high and downtowm being completely gentrified!

Burn the system down or burn down your local barbershops, loot all your local businesses? If I have a friend get shot and killed should I start looting all the local legal pot growing operations? I laughed when I saw they took over the 3rd precinct, and wished them the best, then I sat shaking my head as I watched them loot and burn down their community. As far as I’m concerned those cops should be convicted of murder and well looters should be tried for looting. All four of those pieces of shit sat there and did nothing as the man cried for help. This shit has been going on for way too long. Cops wanna keep acting like this?!? Burn the mother fucker down!!!”

People who sympathize with this type of police behavior are also usually nazi sympathizers. That’s the ugly thing. People protesting and rioting when the police use heavy handed crowd control on peaceful protesters are the result. Remember the unarmed and cooperative man who was tortured to death by the police? That was the cause. Your stance on every issue I’ve ever heard is ignorant and ugly.

The trashing and looting tends to be the cause of police to use heavy handed crowd control, not vice-versa. There’s footage of the police in Minneapolis evacuating a black stabbing victim and arresting the white stabber under borderline riot conditions, using just enough force to secure themselves while they took care of that bit of police business. Wanna “burn the motherfucker down?” You get what’s coming to you. That is, if you’re actually doing it and not just talking tough through your keyboard.

There was how many officers and how many people watching/ filming? Why didn’t anyone intervine? Why didn’t any citizen put that cop under citizens arrest? Why did the cop do this in the first place? Where was this piece of human shits leadership?

So many failures broke down to allow this to happen. Told my wife to prepare that for me to get shot. As a US Marine, my sole purpose in life is to defend against justice. If I saw that shit going down I would have intervened to attempt to stop it, rather than just stand around and watch someone thats supposed to protect us, murder another human right in front of me.

Everyone around here talks a big game about government over reach, but when it happens time and time again, then WE as citizens of this country are failing and allowing it to happen. Make changes or we are the next China. AND EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US THAT DO NOT PARTICIPATE IN AN INFORMED DEMOCRATIC PROCESS ALLOWED THIS TO HAPPEN.

Actually if you watch the videos you can see exactly what was happening. To your other attempt at making a point, just because people with a conscious are outraged and horrified by the police torture and killing of an unarmed man, doesn’t imply that they hate all police at all. It’s ugly to sympathize with murderers just because they are police.

BS. No way would you have stepped in. No way would you, by yourself, have stepped in to try and stop 4 cops from doing what they were doing. Citing your military background doesn’t help, especially considering how many members of the US military stood back and watched while other atrocities occurred (Dresden, Vietnam, Custer, etc. etc. etc.). Membership in that club doesn’t put you above anybody else.

Even if you would have, that things have gotten to the point where that is even debatable should be enough for you to understand the rage and fear felt by communities of color in this country. Not everybody has your training. Not everybody wants to be a martyr. They just don’t want to be killed, abused, and treated like dirt by the authorities whose slogan is to protect and serve.

As a Marine sure I’m the exception in so many ways from anyone around me yes. Am I willing to martyr for a just cause, my fellow citizens and my country…uhhhh yup thats why Marines are Marines. That should also serve to show that I’m telling people to make our country free from tyranny, but setting the example myself.

Were this way because people not willing to step up, actively participate in our every single day process of freedom from the ground up and demanding our leaders actually lead. US citizens for the vast majority are lazy, self centered, ill informed, and apathetic. Obviously not everyone, but a clear vast majority.

These incidents happen because of apathy and laziness by all of us pure and simple. This country was formed on martyrs dying to make this country free.

The damn cop had his knee on the mans neck for about ten minutes, while George kept telling them he could not breathe. The cop should be sent to prison for man slaughter, and the others arrest and put in prison for doing nothing to help George. They arrested the cop and fired the others. Those cops were not fit to wear a proud uniform. I feel so very sorry for George and his family. There is no excuse for police officers doing this to anyone!!

“Let me say as I’ve always said, and I will always continue to say, that riots are socially destructive and self-defeating. … But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the Negro poor has worsened over the last few years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice, equality, and humanity. And so in a real sense our nation’s summers of riots are caused by our nation’s winters of delay. And as long as America postpones justice, we stand in the position of having these recurrences of violence and riots over and over again.”

I mean im 45 now and I can remember Rodney king la riots police on blacks in the 90s I mean Ice Cube built his whole career for the past 30 years telling us this has been going on. Yet we are still here in this situation today. Sounds like our police system needs a major overhaul and better leadership all across the board. Leadership starts at the top all the way up to our commander in chief. If our leaders leading and policing our country fail, then who can you trust to lead you in times when a clear darkness. It doesn’t happen. it just turns into chaos aka Syria aka civil war.

As many people that are protesting and rioting, there should be that many people demanding change to the leadership and the way our police force is run. There should be citizens exercising our rights down at the police station, making sure our cops are being trained properly.

Ernie Branscomb

As much as I am reluctant to comment on race, religion, or politics… now is the time I am willing to make an exception.

It is time to be very firm in demanding that police departments get rid of any bad cops. The cop that killed George Floyd has had EIGHTEEN reprimands. I believe that a cop can make a mistake and needs a second chance, but it should be a value judgement on the cops mistake. Under no condition should a cop be allowed to make that many “mistakes”and remain on the police force.

I support police one-hundred percent, because we need them. That support DOES NOT include bad cops!… I know that good law officers are hard to come by, but that is not an excuse to keep an angry rogue officer on any police force. Yes, firm enforcement is necessary. It is also important to not resist an officers demands. A strategic retreat is an important element of any battle. Make your case before a judge.

I will be at the protest in Garberville today. Along with the very wise people that realize that protests do work when they are sincere.

Protesters are a lot like police forces, there are good protesters and there are bad protesters. We need to not allow out of control idiots that demean or diminish our legitimate protest. Controlled anger is very effective, out of control anger does not work. It takes the focus off the point of the protest. Take lots of photos of anyone out of control. Then demand that they be punished accordingly. The catch and release of criminals has to stop. Rogue cops have to GO.

” forgery in progress” the store clerk thought he had a fake twenty. Somebody tried to pass a fake twenty off on me once. I didn’t get killed for trying to deposit it at the bank. The clerk said it was police brutality. So the cops weren’t representing him either. There’s pics from social media with the cop wearing a “Make White Great Again” hat.
Did you realize “Make America Great Again” is lifted from “Make America White Again” billboards that were all over the South into the early Eighties. I read a book by a Eureka woman trucker, published in the pre trump era, where she mentioned seeing those billboards while driving cross country.

It’s possible. I might have missed them. But then again it sounds like the same sort of claim that all conspiracies make. This article alleges that not only was the cop not the person in the photo but that the person in the photo said the hat was photoshopped to say that.

“Make your case before a judge.”

That’s a great theory, but too many people don’t live to see a judge. Cops will quite happily kill anyone for any reason or for no reason at all – even a guy in his own apartment eating icecream, for example. It’s not just an attitude – they’re trained to shoot first and ask questions later, even if the question is their own lack of understanding of the situation. Whenever police are involved, you need to be ready to instantly either escape or preemptively use force if it looks like the only option, as it’s the only way you might make it to a judge. You are not safe any time a cop is present.

Yes that has some bits of truth in it but then the people they deal with are even more violent, bigoted and ready to kill them too. Maybe those who make such statements ought to do some self examination. You might have seen what you allege but I have at least three times seen cops, both in uniform and out, intervene to save someone from themselves. And once take over from me as I tried ineffectively to stop a drunk man from beating an equally drunk woman. If you want less violent cops, encourage a law abiding populace. And good luck with that.

I know I had the advantage of knowing how the video played out, but I kept telling the people there to push the cop. Defend him and take the consequences. Unfortunately mob violence only results in a stronger reciprocating force from the State. The pent up energy from SIP combined with the rage of feeling marginalized is going to make this whole thing violently explode. Brutality from those who abuse their authority is not a racial issue; it is the hard push by the State to subjugate the People.

Pent up energy from years of media pushing the racist cop narrative. Don’t get me wrong, there are bad cops, this looks like a prime example, maybe, we’ll see.
But this is after years of false lies and narratives.
Proof….look back on the media narrative of Trayvon.
Trayvon wasn’t the innocent young man from the several year old pictures the media used.
Zimmerman isn’t white
Zimmerman was getting seriously assulted by trayvon.

If you take the time to read the in depth actually researched articles, and compare it to the msm narrative….you will see that the media maximized the racist narrative, ignored facts and truth, and purposely fueled the civil disobedience we see now.

In short. The msm narrative is playing it’s viewers and destroying this country. Today the officials in Minnesota claim that the rioters are white supremacists. Really? The crowds shouting “Black lives matter” are white supremacists? Who believes this crap? Too many, unfortunately.

Agreed. The use of identity politics to create divisiveness has been pushed by MSM relentlessly. I don’t know if it’s just an easy narrative to push to get eyeballs on the screen or if there is an intent to create the illusion to divide the people.

Bill Barr USAG …..” it’s a federal crime to cross state lines to incite violence. If caught they will be held accountable.”

Anyone wonder why these riots are in Democrat held cities? I’m sure Republican cities have plenty POC.

Atlanta (GA), Washington DC, Houston (TX), New York City (NY), Los Angeles (CA) Oakland (CA) + + +

Many people are calling for federal intervention; however, that type of confrontation is the intended goal of the social anarchy crowd. The leftist chaos is purposeful bait.

Local authorities in/around the urban danger zones have the primary responsibility to maintain domestic tranquility. Federal intervention to replace local political ineptitude, and lack of desire to confront a crisis of their own creation, is short-sighted.

If local officials and/or state governors are not going to take action; factually they do not want to take action because they are fearful of backlash from their own tribe; then federal assistance doesn’t work. It is better for President Trump to watch from a distance and keep reminding the U.S. electorate how he supports, but will not replace, local officials.

However, a little research will show you an analysis of the arrest records. Only 6 of the people arrested are from out of state. That, of course doesn’t mean there aren’t white supremacists from in the state. I don’t trust any of the narrative from officials at this point.

These cities with Republican Mayors may not be doing so well in the public safety department:
Fort Worth shooting- May 11 2020 five wounded.
Fresno shooting- November 17 2019 four dead, six wounded.
El Paso shooting- August 3 2019 twenty-three dead, twenty-three wounded.
Jacksonville shooting- August 26 2018 three dead, ten wounded.
San Diego shooting- April 27,2019 one dead, three wounded.
Mesa shooting- January 18, 2016 one dead, officer found “not guilty.”
Oklahoma City shooting- May 7 2020 four injured, three of gunfire.

Details of these incidents are interesting:

Oklahoma City- A woman who took offense at the closure of a McDonald’s dining area injured an employee, then returned with a gunand wounded three more.
(In 2018 – March 24 – A man opened fire in a crowded restaurant; two unrelated bystanders retrieved guns from their cars, chased him and then shot him when he opened fire.)

Mesa- An officer shot and killed an unarmed man in a hallway who a witness had said was brandishing a gun (it was found to have been a pellet gun in the man’s hotel room). Both officer and victim were white.

San Diego- A young white man, church member, burned a mosque in late March, then attacked a synagogue in late April (the shooter was a resident of San Diego but his attacks were in Escondido and Poway).

Jacksonville- a “gamer” lost at a tournament, then shot the event up.

El Paso- An attack by a young white man specifically targetining Latino people.

Fresno- Victims were all Hmong. The shooters were members of an Asian identity gang. The shooting was at a football game watch-party.

Fort Worth- Victims and shooters were all black, at an impromptu party in a park to relieve Covid 19 isolation and boredom. Gang affiliation of the shooters is suspected.

hardly a peep!

Last time I checked Hispanics and Latinos were POC and I’m sure several of those cities I posted are highly populated by Latino’s.

I also know Latinos have experienced wrongful deaths as well.

So if we are going to talk about it lets not pretend it’s all one sided.

Trump’s EO literally sounds like it was written by the ACLU or the Electronic Frontier Foundation, as it relates to section 230. If your going to censor speech beyond obvious hate speech and the incitement of violence, you are now an editor and should not be afforded the protections of a simple content delivery system. Not a trump fan, and the EFF position on section 230 is way more nuanced, but i don’t completely disagree with this order. Now underground nuclear testing is a different story, in this case orange man bad.

Then what was the reason for mentioning “majority black cities?” If not in answer to Hot Coffee’s Democrat remark?

What exactly do you think the Jessie Smollet episode was all about or the Sandman video’s almost all MSM showed ( edited to suit their purposes ) until the truth came out and the real video was shown and CNN had to pay damages.
Aren’t those attempts to slander Republicans and create race wars?

At what point does the left have to admit their not always the victim but also a perpetrator.

Why doesn’t the left speak to Kathy Griffin’s recent tweet on how to kill Trump? etc. Where was twitters edit on that?

Hard to believe you really can’t see it.

It’s full of active and retired military. Large military effect on incomes. Above average white and Asian demographic and below average black. And pretty rich despite having a large homeless population.

Sure it is. But in my mind major cities in Cali are like SF, Sac, and LA. Just a opinion of the definition of MAJOR.

But who cares. Fact is rural is more R, and urban is malre D.

SF isn’t very Black anymore they have been pushed out by the high rents.
High rents were brought by high tech.

Yes of course I do believe in poor whites.
That’s precisely why I don’t care about skin color. But I do care about socio economic statuses. So the poor part means something. The color part doesn’t.

I think you have been misunderstanding me. I’m not really arguing against anything you have said

Switch the cartoon bubbles- what do you want to be when you grow up? “A cop killer.” Get real. Incite violence, create violence, endorse violence. It is your problem too.

You seem fine with endorsing violence. You seem unsympathetic to the protesting of police murder and brutality but you wanna get it all twisted to support your hateful and ugly narrative. Feel free to make an intelligent comment anytime.

Medical examiner preliminary autopsy report: no asphyxia and no strangulation. He had a panic and probably heart attack. He had health conditions. Bad policing for sure, but no murder. Antifa does not need a reason to riot. They are domestic terrorists.

Yeah, because the medical examiner wouldn’t intentionally lie to prevent more rioting, right? Remember, this is the PRELIMINARY report. The video clearly shows the police officer kneeling on his neck and Mr. Floyd repeatedly stated that he “couldn’t breathe.” Don’t believe everything you read, cowboy. And only half of what you see. The political spin and fallout from this is going to be HUUUGGGGEEE.

If three guys sit on you with one’s knee in your neck for ten minutes resulting in your death, it’s murder. Don’t get it twisted. If the police use heavy handed tactics on protesters, rioting is indeed justified.

Fact is, if (when) you attend a protest right now, you volunteer for surveillance. Your “phone” is always on and always monitoring. All outstanding behavior, which includes saying key words, is flagged and all subjects will be remotely tracked. Simply attending a gathering with a shelter order in place qualifies anybody to be “legally” monitored without their knowledge or consent in the first place. Not a single human, local or elsewhere, has to make it happen. That’s where the tech is, FYI. Predictive Policing.

People who don’t push other people around outnumber people who push other people around by a million to one. However, people who push other people around have never had any qualms about doing so. So the people who push other people around don’t have to push very hard at all, to make everybody do what they want. It’s been studied and practiced for a very, very long time.

Let’s spend all our time talking and thinking about race/gender/religion/sexuality some more. Every white/black/latinx/asian male/female/shemale/trans athiest/zealot will grumble to themselvse in private about decreasing quality of life in their own respective neighborhoods just the same, and wonder why nobody’s doing anything about it.

“Remember when this used to be a quiet, peaceful neighborhood?”

Yes! The military has always been the right answer domestically. Those damn 3rd amendment activists and the anti-soldier lobby need to be stopped for our safety and the safety of the children. We, as a country, need to adopt common sense rules around housing soldiers in our homes, and get over our biases towards having tham in our neighborhoods, protecting us and ensuring our safety, and strengthening our collective democracy. Next time a soldier is on patrol in your neighborhood, invite him into your house for coffee, and thank them for their service and your piece of mind. If your neighborhood isn’t yet occupied, show your patriotism by attending a multimillion dollar airforce flyover, and feel the pride of place well up in your throat, and tears fill your eyes. God bless our peace keepers!

Im right in there with the outrage of the people regarding the police killing but they did fire all the cops involved and arrested the officer involved .and when they turned it into a black lives matter instead of all lives matter it really made me not want to be apart of all this protest .as fact as they were yelling black lives matter someone in a vehicle yelled all lives matter and was flipped off by one of the protesters . i guess they feel its ok to kill white people just not black people .that protester that flipping off the motorist was about the most racist thing ive seen in along time .i wont ptotest in racism against anybody .i guess white people never get brutalized by police .it happens all over with all races and until that is recognized i will not protest in any of this even tho i was thourolly discusted by the police actions when this msn was killed. ALL LIVES MATTER NOT JUST BLACK LIVES AND IT IS RACIST TO YELL BLACK LIVES MATTER AND NOT ALL LIVES MATTER so good luck with youre protest .the officer involved was fired and arrested it really seems to be a wast of energy at this point wat else can be done ,he deserves a fair trial like anybody else and from wat i have seen should be no problem getting a conviction

Humboldt needs to stand up for itself instead of hoping to be heard. Look at the rest of the nation. You dont need to loot or kill. If you change the environment around you though things will be forced to change. This makes some people act aweful but when theres an actual issue yall sure soften up.
