Nice property. Did you buy that place before being a Supervisor or after? Everything nice and green and like a zoo. Interesting you are described as a former Supervisor. An elected official and her wildlife. Uhmmm……

Right, What does the property have to do with what your previous employment was? Takes all kinds.

I’ve seen bears in the middle of Eureka. It’s a nice lawn – that’s what happens when you take care of your property!

For the record JILL Duffy was a hard working employed adult before she was supervisor, Shee worked hard during her terms as 5th district supervisor, and She works hard today… and although I am not in the know on salary she may make as much in her current job as she did as a hard working county supervisor. Oh yeah and her husband is a hard working employed adult as well…..

Is that bear Eating dandelions, that’s pretty cool. Those bears have very nice coats 🧥.

I especially enjoyed the still of the bear facing front. It is so individual I feel I might know that particular bear if I saw it in person.

Great title! Good pics too…these bears look healthy. I believe there’s only about 30,000 black bears currently in California.

That’s correct, and up by a factor of 3 in the last 25 years. Beautiful creatures.

So glad to see some healthy bears!!!

Lets remember that a whole new generation of wild critters were just born into a world of low traffic and low human interactions. Itll take them a little bit to learn so please slow down and be really aware if your surroundings on trails and such.

Carry a simple pe whistle, i have yet to come upon a wild critter that doesn’t cringe and run at that sound.

Scare away young animals any way you can, itll save their lives.
