Firearms, Drugs, and Cash Seized in Bust Yesterday, Says DTF

This is a press release from the Humboldt County Drug Task Force. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

Joshua SalinasOn May 20th, 2020, at approximately 1:35 p.m., special agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force (HCDTF), with the assistance of the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, served a search warrant at a residence on Moon Lane, south of Cal Pac Road, Hoopa. After receiving numerous complaints from Hoopa Valley community members regarding nonstop traffic from this location, HCDTF launched an investigation and were able to secure a search warrant for a residence owned by Joshua Salinas (age 40).

Upon arrival, multiple people were detained including Salinas. Agents located approximately 15 grams of suspected heroin packaged for sales along with 8 grams of suspected methamphetamine. In close proximity of these substances were digital scales along with over $4,000 in U.S. currency. Agents also located several firearms and other illegally possessed weapons. The residence was littered with hypodermic needles and other miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

Salinas, who is a previously convicted felon, was subsequently placed under arrest for various narcotics and weapons violations as well as three outstanding warrants. Salinas was transported and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.

Agents determined the $4,000 is likely profits from illegal narcotics sales. This currency was seized pending future asset forfeiture proceedings.

Anyone with information related to this investigation or other narcotics related crimes are encouraged to call the Humboldt County Drug Task Force at 707-267-9976 or the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office Tip Line at 707-268-2539.Firearms etc Joshua Salinas

Was he dealing so much that he needed 5 scales? Looks like he was a Ninja in training with that homemade Ninja star.

With several scales, you can double-check your weights to avoid unpleasant customer disputes. Like having a spare level if you’re a carpenter, just to make sure.

On Directv, channel 276 I think, is a program about our border patrol agents. So last night, an agent said 80% of drugs come into the US from Mexico. He also said they capture more drugs and smugglers than anywhere else on earth. He said the cartels employ about a half a million people on both sides of border. The cartels are constantly watching the border to see what shipments of theirs make it, and those who don’t. Obviously this asshole had the drugs that made it over the Mexican border. Last night, the border agents, hero’s really, found over 100 lbs of coke and meth in a fuel tank of a bus. That amount is enough to kill a lot of people, baby’s, everyone is subject to this evil substance. So, based upon the information the agent shared with us, yes, the MAJORITY of narcotics comes in from Mexico, as we all knew anyway. I would suggest to those who disagree, watch the experts, they have accurate info, not fantasy made up stats.

You dont think trumps wall would have any effect do you? Those drugs come through the border entrances, not hiked across the desert.

A few people want open borders. Very few. Most wretched liberals/dems would like the laws followed with immigrants, legal or not, treated like human beings and their children not terrified and abused by the Great United States of America with its highly vaunted biblical, Hobby Lobby, jumpin’ up and down, Christian values as exemplified and personified by President Trump.

Hope that helps.

Trump’s buddy Putin doesn’t have to worry about their borders being stormed by refugees with hope for the future. Lucky guy.

People who want to change the way they feel. That’s why people do drugs, to change the way they feel. They don’t like themselves, or their situation, Or they struggle with everyday life. There are two complicit actors, the supplier and the user. Until that changes, we are forced to deal with ripoffs, DUI’s, children being abused, and the rest of their shit they bring to society.

Every gas station in America is owned by someone from the middle east, where coincidentally is the heroin growing hot spot, and people still think its coming from Mexico. This isnt the 80s anymore…

I think you mean Sikh, assuming I’ve got it right. I don’t think they are goofier than any other religion. I support religious freedom, despite the heavy cost to society, as we saw in the color flyer anti-semitic Easter broadside that was snuck into the T-S this year. Funny, but Arabs and Jews are All Semitic people as several nations in Eastern Europe are Slavic. All these nations find excuses, often religious, to kill each other.

Wow, Akismet already dropped my sign-in data. Sigh.

You’re thinking of Afghanistan. Afghanistan is not part of the “Middle East”.

The Middle East includes the states of Egypt, Oman, Yemen, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Bahrain, Syria, Jordan, Turkey, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Iraq, and Israel.

And I think most of that heroin ends up along the Silk Road and into Europe… but I’m sure there are shipping routes into the Americas.

Well it definitely isn’t coming from the gas stations. Ask Bill Clinton where it comes from, or George “Poppy” Bush, oh wait he’s dead

As addicts’ supply chains dissolve, they will get all kinds of sick. Some will go temporarily crazy. Some will kill them selves. Many will end up in hospitals. It’s affecting the big bad “numbers” in ways that aren’t being discussed as part of the big bad “statistics”. There’s a pharmaceutical addiction problem in this country that’s bigger than the mainstream would like anybody to think about. Tweakers are everywhere.

I see magazines but not firearms that could use them..

either they missed them, or,its just a drug thing to carry things you think are cool but don’t need.

Regardless, when was “high traffic” a reason for a warrant?
