An Error Reported in Saturday and Monday’s Daily Test Results
Corrected statistics for May 11.
The Humboldt County Joint Information Center is reporting an error in their statistics this morning. A press release sent out this morning stated,
The total number of recovered cases has been inaccurately reported since Saturday, May 9, due to an oversight on our part. The number of recovered cases was reported as 54 on Saturday and 57 on Monday. Currently, the total number of recovered cases is 53, with 8 still active for a total of 61. Saturday and Monday’s Daily Test Results, HumCoCOVID social media pages and the humboldtgov.org homepage have been updated. We apologize for the error.

With no deaths? Let’s see 164,000 people, 54 cases and no deaths? But we are setting criminals free. Small businesses are being permanently closed, failure to pay rent or mortgage,economic shutdown, rules and restrictions put into place, and forced to stay at home and support bailed out corporations with the single use of Amazon and Costco?. All money transactions now must go through a credit card or bank. I had to pay my DMV reg online, through a credit card. Guess what happened next? A third party charged me 15$ to do the transaction! Lmao! You smell what I smell…….? Nope. It’s not salvation.

Deaths are inevitable. Do you really think the whole county can or will hide out for the year or more that it will take this pandemic to disappear? So don’t shoot the messenger because you prefer it is otherwise. There is no tooth fairy and there is no covid-19 without consequences.

I have used my business Visa card to pay my DMV renewal fees for the last 5 years

Many third party contractors, like AAA, take credit cards, but DMV DOES NOT directly take credit cards. I was just on the web site trying to pay with a card & you are routed to a third party and charged extra by that third party.
However, DMV has suspended late fees on registration during this time so you didn’t HAVE to renew now and pay the extra $$.
By the way, AAA does take credit cards for DMV WITHOUT an extra fee if you have a AAA card for towing. Best deal around.
There is some irony in that the government is saying how they’re doing such a good job with testing and then they hit 50 and things start cracking. But all the other numbers are right, of course

We already have mail in ballots, and humboldt has the best vote tracking record anywhere. Try not to be stupid, you pay your bills by mail I’m betting.
personally i disagree that we have fair voting in humboldt county. i voted a couple years back and tracked my vote online. it was counted and then two weeks later it was uncounted. while my some of my family’s votes were counted and not uncounted. i called to ask why they took my vote away and they laughed at me. then about a month later i was deleted from voter registration.
